Naked Climber
Made up some 2mm aluminum scales for the outside. Want to keep it ‘industrial’ looking so will just trim the excess thread and loctite them. Need a spacer for the main blade. Had to widen the hook pivot hole but the awl and corkscrew sizes were ok.  :salute:

Well I gave up with the screws...seems you just can’t beat a good brass pinning...  :salute:

Starting to get the hang of the peening process...

With the pins in it looks way better with out scales...if you were to put wood or G-10 the screws going countersunk would be ok.  :tu:

Thanks Sir Vic, Rapidray  :hatsoff:

Going to give some thought to scale options on next project. G10 might work for me, will see...

Good work on the peening!

I am not experienced in G10 handling, but I know they are pretty toxic when breathed in, so definitely wear proper gear when handling that.

Thanks Sparky415 and also for the warning comis.  :salute:

Yes, 3-layered Naked Climber is thinner than 2-layer standard Spartan! And a lot stronger with 2mm plate aluminum...

As this was a test, and reasonably successful, I'm thinking of doing a Naked Yeoman MS (metal saw) next. But I'll go back to 2.2mm brass on the central 2 pins and stay with the peening process.
