I would love to see pics of your military (or military like) vehicles. Also, would like to hear about your experiences with them.

I have been eyeballing a Swiss Pinzgauer. I have heard good things about them...but no real experience. There is a place about 2 miles from here that sells them.

My mentor (in knife making) has a Pinzy, they do long trips at (very) low speed, the last one from Camp Gecko to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and back through Botswana.

You can see it in one of the photos here: http://www.campgecko.net/index.php/impressionen/?lang=en

Pinzgauers are great off-roaders (not so much fun on the road), the only thing that beats them is the Haflinger, mostly because it weighs nothing.

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

I would love to have a Pinzgauer- it is basically the minivan version of my favorite truck, the Unimog.

I feel like the extra space inside the Pinz would make it a lot more useful, as you could pretty well live out of it in the summer!

Leave the dents as they are- let your belongings show their scars as proudly as you do yours.

Oh yeah...those are cool. The place near me sells those as well. He has quite a few European military vehicles.

He has one over here that is a Pin that is converted to a mini RV. It is the Pingauer 710K Civilian. I gotta say though, for vehicles from the 70's, they are PRICEY!
