Dye and Cellidor
on: September 15, 2019, 04:01:40 PM
Has someone ever tried to use dye to change the colors of the Cellidor scales? I just found a video of someone using dye to change the color of their Spyderco handles, and was wondering if that would work with Cellidor scales as well

My guess is Cellidor can't take heat as well as FRN or G10, it would just deform, warp. No idea if the dye would have an effect on it, but I'm thinking it's a denser material, not as porous as the other two mentioned, so even in that respect it would be less effective.

No, it won't take dye. You could use a permanent magic marker type, but IMHO (I tried it) it looks like the devil. I'd just be content with the good old red cellidor. They are what I prefer anyway.
