There is definitely nothing disappointing about the Arkansas Hunter. I am impressed with the blade on mine. The shape is such that it has a very fine tip for precision work (if you have ever field dressed and processed game, you know precision can garner more meat on the table), and it has heft for bigger work. The depth of the grind gives you an edge geometry that is almost like a straight razor, albeit one that can handle life in the outdoors. Yep, definitely one of my favorites. When I travel or go camping and hunting, it always goes with me.

The mail carrier just brought my second A.G. Russell Arkansas Hunter.

Here it is beside my other one. The fit and finish on both is perfect and the blades are perfectly centered in the closed position and lock up solid.

Those are gorgeous! The only thing I'd change would be to have some wood or bone scales, to make them look more "traditional" and "old-westerney".

Used my Arkansas Hunter a bit in the kitchen today. I was pre prepping some meals and used it to chop up steak and chicken.

I took my AG Russell Toothpick and dyed the handles last night.

Here is how it started.

Here is the finished product.

I need to make one of these purple AG Russells for sos24. I have done a few knives this way. I just think the purple looks amazing.

Not an AG Russull, but here is another one I did.

I went to a local Gun and Knife Show today and I got these 2 brand new AG Russell Sunfish lockbacks.  :woohoo:

I got the black G10 handled one for $40.00 and the stabilized oak handled one for $60.00. That's less than 50% of what they normally sell for. I could not pass up a deal like that.  :D
