I notice whenever there are more than a few doing the same thing as you, then everything seems easily justifiable.  :D :facepalm:

Down the rabbit hole!  I had tapered off a lot and then they went and discontinued the 85mm line so I ended up on another spree which I guess I've pretty much burned through... Whee!

I promised myself (and my spouse) to stop collecting when I reach the age of my retirement. Tomorrow I will retire! Yesterday I received my last (latest?) Victorinox, the Venture Pro + Kit.  :whistle:

Fortunately for me the range between Certifiably Nuts (> 100) and What On Earth Is Wrong With You (> 600) is sufficiently large that I'm still only Certifiably Nuts.  But not by much!

Trouble is, over 50% of that number are multiple NIB backup copies of the favorites. I really don't have the "collector's bug", i', just got the "backup OCD" bug...  :rofl:

Yep, I'll be a dead man  by my wife's hand when I die as well.  Watches, flashlights, knives, tools, whisky....

On the SAK side moderately well behaved tbh, I only got to 'letting go' on the basis of classics. Would like to own more, but striving for balance between SAK, Leatherman, Spyderco, Benchmade.

I still have about 75, there have not been many changes over the past few years. I bought a Farmer X, and gave away a few Huntsman.

So that´s the rabbit hole for me.  :)

I´m a certified nutcase though, this was confirmed by my psychiatrist about 6 years ago.  :D

Which means I have to buy at least 25 more to live up to my official status.  :ahhh
