Right now the Spirit is seeing the most pocket time of them all (coupled with a MiniChamp mainly for the ruler and tweezers), with the Skeletool+Explorer plus or Charge TTi+Explorer plus being close up second. The Skely would be out of the window if the Spirit came with a PE OH blade...

Yeah, it's pretty fresh. :) I got it a while back cause I found a good deal on a good tool, but 've kept it "pure" in case I decide to trade/sell.

That's a Gerber MP700 (aka Urban Legend), T3 edition.

Sure but that won't happen before Tuesday, as I am now away from home (and those multis). It's identical to the non-T3 MP700, only with plastic Gerber and T3 "badges" glued where normal MP700s have "Gerber" engraved (see this pic). FWIW if you're into grabbing one of those, I'd say that I have mixed fillings.

Pros: (i) it is very light (aluminium handles) and feels nice in the hand (rubber inserts), (ii) outwards opening implements, (iii) exchangeable carbide inserts for wire cutters, (iv) nice scissors (Fiskars), (v) all locking implements, (vi) OH blade, (v) spring-loaded pliers.

Cons: (i) the handles are somewhat wide (iirc in the vicinity of 1-1.5mm), thus adding to the overall width, and not all that sturdy, (ii) the implements are all too short; they do mostly ok at their job, but they are short..., (iii) the pliers head is not a needle nose per-se, a la Vic STs, (iv) the tool selection could be better, if it weren't for the fat handles, (v) the plastic inserts and T3 and Gerber badges fall off after some time (so you have to glue them back or do without them), (vi) the knife blade is short too.

I used to edc it for a year or so, exchanged it for a Charge Ti, and never looked back...

I think it's the model used on screen when Arnold is driving and cuts the skin off his chest and takes one of his batteries out of his skeleton..

I completely disagree.

The OH version IMO is likely to drop me in the crap if I was to be caught with it and therefore it would be left at home, rescuing nothing and no one.

The two handed version, IMO is less likely to get me in the crap and therefore I would actually carry it and are more likely to have it on me when needed.

Besides, the serrated blade still opens the same way.

I see where your coming from but at the end of the day its still a locker no matter how many holes it has in it .I look at it that in the situation your going to need it then I don't want to compromise.
