That's the one bummer about black oxide tools; they look awesome at first, but it only takes a couple of scratches to make them look "used".

(If I remember correctly, prime only got the black Wave three weeks ago:  http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,462.0.html)

The BO coating has held up pretty good for me. I've carried the Wave everyday since I got it. It just has some small scratches on it but I've noticed that every little one stands out in the light when taking pictures.  It's not as scratched as it looks in the first picture. Heres another

Yeah I agree that is the biggest drawback with the BO tools.  That is also the reason why I rarely ever carry them, preferring the polished tools to even the bead blasted ones.

Oh well, c'est la guerre, non?

Nice ones indeed.

Hey prime, I didn't know (or remember?) that you had a Leatherman Pulse. Can't say that I was ever a huge fan of how they did the blade locks on that one, but I do like the hidden lanyard ring.

Cute, huh?

I got the Pulse a couple of months ago.  I find that the lever locks are not as hard to use on the Pulse as the are on the SuperTool 200. I also like the hidden lanyard ring

Had a good time out dinging the steel today. The Tiger Stripe came along for the fun, but didn't see any action.

Pretty picture Dunc! I see you have no snow yet. One of these days the authorities are going to get after you about stabbing little holes in the top of the boardwalk railings!  :D

(I'm looking forward to hearing how the comparison testing goes.)

Bob,

I was just going to suggest on the grounds of public safety that Dunc is restricted from buying any more multitools until that particular section of fencing has been replaced with 12"x12" Oak beam, as it must be fairly well perforated by now
Lets just hope he doesn't attempt a Multitool Woodsaw shootout!

I wonder what the chances of Dunc switching his allegiance from Swisstools to either Sog or Gerber are?
Slim to nil I presume ;)

I think I will have to find a new photo setting  ::)
Will Sog or Gerber knock Victorinox off the top spot ? ......................

You'll have to wait  ;)

Hello....first post

Here is my collection of tools....recently had to replace my Gerber MP600 as my T3 edition was stolen, now i just have the regular black one.
I'm sure you all know what they all are so i won't bother explaining them all.

Welcome Roadie!
A nice selection of tools and blades you have there. Hmmm.....I see a multitool from Vic, L-man, and Gerber. You sir, are going to need to get yourself a SOG in order to complete the grand slam of current plier tools!
