Got my first Swisstool. That thing is a beast! The weight difference to the Spirit is significant, so this is not something I will EDC, but it will see plenty of use around the house and the wood shop i am sure. :woohoo:

Congratulations. I EDC mine most days. I am used to the weight now. The leather sheath I have also adds some additional weight. I like thick leather sheaths.

That is a stunning pic btw!!!

Have you considered joining the Challenge in March?  Your experiance could be helpfull to some of those EDC'ing the MIGHTY Swisstool for the first time.

Douglas, Douglas Douglas...

How can I resit? OK, count me in. I'll add my name to the list. The BO SwissTool it will be. Our bike trip has been rescheduled to May due to the fires. I'll be able to post a pic per day.

Cheers, Pete

No I would not compare it to Surge. It’s a full-size tool, but not as large or heavy.

Some pics between the SwissTool, Surge and MUT.

The Surge and SwissTool are both Monsters, in a good way.

Weight for me is a factor;

Surge: 349g
ST300: 284g
SwissTool: 280g
Spirit: 210g

So Surge is really the big daddy in this particular lineup.  :salute:

Spirit is the only one I pocket EDC.

Been a while sense I was able to add to the collection with the impact of  :twak: Covid  :twak: on my income (ready for things to reach their new normal).
Fortunately this one was ordered before all this mess started.

AN EARLY 1998 SWISSTOOL (round lanyard whole, no corkscrew slot) IN FACTORY SEALED BUBBLE PACK WITH PROTECTIVE SHIPPING SLEEVE.

Considered asking a dutch member to have a lookout for a Dutch Army version?
They became more common over there...
Don't know if that still applies.

I did not think about that. If any of our dutch members read this, could you give us an idea on the availability of that version of the spirit?

Thank you, sirs.  I carried a Swisstool today to honor this thread.  Used the saw to dismantle some branches I was stuffing in the yard waste bin.  I almost never need a saw, but it came in handy today.
