A most modest collection, in comparison, but then I'm not an avid collector:
A nice collection  :tu:

That is interesting! What does the hole do? A crimper?

Crimping the fuze to the blasting cap.
Notice the small hole in this blasting cap. Means it is without energetic substance (explosive). Normally the armies use aluminium blasting caps. Copper is mostly being used in situation where sparks are not wanted (aluminium burns, copper doesn't).

If you can find them again PM me a link please.  All I have been able to find is a new one in BO.  I can't afford new pricing so I'm always on the look out for used in new or near new condition.  I just want to see what you found.
I'm still        all over the place every time I think about Chako's post.  If this keeps up I may have to check into rehab or at least take swimming lessons.

Well. That leaves me out, as I have in the last year, become very allergic to peanuts; and have had allergies to bananas for years.

It's been mentioned here and in other Swisstool threads.  I've been asked to show pictures,  My Better Half has it in her possetion.  Well it cost me dearly, my back is KILLING me.  After helping her change out all the desks (25 with 25 from clear across the school, also had to reset the height of all 50 of them) in her 6th grade class room she finally let me fondle and get some photos of that beloved '98 RS that started it all.  So for all those who asked, all those who coulod not belive a Swisstool could be Pablo'ed and all those who didn't know they needed to see it,  here it is...

A great tool that has seen some SERIOUS WORK and despite some tough BREAKS is still very capable and holds a SPECIAL place in my heart.  :salute:

That Swisstool saw 15+ years of every day hard in the feild use.  This one tool saw more daily use than any dedicated tool I have ever owned and it still sees occasional use today.  It EARNED it's battle scars and wears them with pride. :salute:
Before that I (as stated many places before ) I went through 3 OG Waves in one year.

Just two. 2002 original and current Spirit XC. Always found the original too big for daily carry. Spirit a lot better for EDC.  :salute:

Love the RT they can be hard to come by.  My user BO looks much the same.  Vic's BO meathod creates a very differant finnish than the other guys.  In my experiance it seems to hold up better too.  My BO Surge and Center Drives both showed signs of the BO wearing off after just a simple 30 day challenge.  My Spirit XBS does show wear but took A LOT longer to show the same wear.

Just two. 2002 original and current Spirit XC. Always found the original too big for daily carry. Spirit a lot better for EDC.  :salute:

I would say that is situationaly dependant.  During my years in the feild as a service technition I carried both and found the Spirit to be a little to light duty, while the Swisstool could handle a lot more of the abuse that occured in the feild when I was too lazy to walk a 1/4 mile accroos a mall roof, down an extension ladder, another 1/4 mile back through the mall, then accross the parking lot to the truck and back again.  Yes the Spirit is more suited to the average daily carry I need now that I only vist another tech the feild to provide assistance or work on equipment in the shop where dedicated tools are far closer at hand.  The Swisstool is a "monster" but it  definately has its place as an EDC.

Great tools and thanks for joining the Photo line up, microbe and Max.

How many SwissTools are needed to constitute a collection? I only ever 'wanted' one to see what they are like and have ended up with four, so I should really get a piccy taken for this thread.  I have a Spirit XC that I bought off a member here which was my first one,  a Spirit XBS which I bought after seeing hiraethus' at a UK meet and had to have one, a SwissTool X that was given to me by hiraethus at a UK meet, and finally a Spirit X that I was given recently by a friend.
