Thanks team for the great challenge and the great pictures and uses. i only used the crunch when needed but she will see more belt time now after this challenge.  my last pic  probably not needed but a pic at rest with half pint of a fine Patagonia brewery's pilsner  .

Thanks again and am looking forward to the challenge.

This has been a really good challenge to follow! Really want to get a crunch some time in the future! And when looking at the blade use Wspeeds combo makes good reason

Even though the challenge is over, I thought I’d post a photo of the Crunch in use from today.  The locking pliers came in handy to make sure a ziptie was pulled tight.

Thanks to whichever mod gave me the Crunch badge. It was a difficult challenge. I really missed having a scissors and saw as part of my primary tool.

Just returned my '13 Crunch to the shop to have it fixed/replaced under warranty, since the "spring failing to open the pliers" problem started to irritate me more and more.

So, I guess I'll have to switch from my '13 Crunch to my shelf queen '99 Crunch for the rest of the challenge.  This means no more "real use" pics from me (as if anyone's going to notice that  ::)).

Let's see how well Leatherman's warranty in Belgium works these days  ;).

An update on the situation...

After sending in my Crunch (through a local outdoor shop) I waited until last Friday (the 8th) to contact the shop to see if there was any news on my Crunch, since it had been four weeks.

The lady from the shop said she would contact Leatherman Belgium on the following Tuesday (since Monday was November 11, which is a holiday).

So, on Tuesday 12th, I get an e-mail from here, saying she had contacted them and they said they had not received any tools from her shop (she had send in my Crunch along with a Micra from someone else), and that they were probably lost by the post services...

 :ahhh

The lady from the shop contacted the postal service and they said they had delivered the package, along with date and time and signature from someone at Leatherman Belgium.

She contacted Leatherman Belgium again with this info and all the sudden, they had found the tools and said something went wrong on their end, and that they would send out NIB replacements soon.

So, yesterday (November 14th) the shop contacted me to say that she had a brand new Crunch for me.  I went to pick it up and noticed that they had send me one with a leather sheath, while I send in one with a new style nylon sheath (I had to send in the tool with as much of the original packaging as possible which isn't that hard for a freak collector as me) .  Since I already bought an extra leather sheath for the Crunch I did miss my nylon one, but hey, I got a new tool, so I can't complain.

Did have to pay 12 Euro administration fee...  :(

Anyway, I have a user Crunch again  :woohoo:.

And it only took 5 weeks, some mails back and forward, some confusion and some phone calls from the store to the importer and the postal services... And 12 Euro  :D.

Apologies for the long loooong post  :surrender:.

Thanks guys  :salute:.

At the end of the day, I'm happy I got a Crunch that works perfect now, the previous one was a pain in the *ss to work with.

And knowing I only truly found out it wasn't working well after I bought my old stock '99 (I thought it was a' 99, nut sure, will check tomorrow) Crunch...
