Question about Huntsman Lite-do newer models have brighter LED lights?

I recently bought a Huntsman Lite on eBay to try to replace a Traveller Lite I had to sell. I ended up returning it Huntsman Lite for a couple of reasons: it was sold as new when it was actually used, and also the light was very dim, weaker than the Traveller Lite, too dim to be useful.

I've read here that the LED lights have gotten brighter over time. There's a thread about it: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=64040.0 The Huntsman I bought had the old, dimmer model with the hook on it, whereas the Traveller had no hook and was bright enough to be useful.

I'm wondering, if I buy a new Huntsman Lite off of Amazon, will it have one of the newer model LEDs? None of the pictures I see online show the light in the open position. Is there anyone who has recently bought a new Huntsman Lite and can report on if the flashlight is any good or not?

There's one person in that thread who reports getting a good Huntsman Lite, but the one pictured comes from Japan so I don't know if it's the same as the ones being sold in the US. I'm particularly interested in the ones selling on Amazon for $55, as everyone else seems to be charging $70.
