New Vic Nail Clipper
on: November 27, 2019, 08:00:58 PM
Here’s the new Nail Clipper from Victorinox. Tiny keychain tool and only 12g. Well made and works well.
Probably difficult to get excited about a nail clipper, but Victorinox have done a good job on this little guy.  :tu:

I ordered two of these for stocking stuffers just the other day.  I can't wait to see how they perform!

Sharp, good leverage and the edges are ground together to match perfectly. Nothing to fault except the tiny injection molding blemish that’s part of the manufacturing process. Love the deeply embossed Vic logo.  :tu:

Looks good, but I'd miss the file on my old version.

Oeps, wrong smiley ...

I like how small this nail clipper is, but I do like the original design better (Let's face it, only because it looks more like a true SAK than this one  ::)).

Just as a side note, and I might be wrong here, but wasn't this nailclipper design originally invented by Wenger ?  Is this so, or is it just a creation of my Wenger loving brain ?

Glad to see this. I received an e-mail from my local knife emporium a week or two ago, and this was a featured item. I will probably need to swing by and grab one (or three).

Is this the same pair of clippers in the NailClip 580?

I'm glad Vic has started making them. There really hasn't been a good pair of small clippers made since Bassett went out of business. And even on those, the files are pretty bad. They don't file nails very well.

They should have made the underside a nail file.

Looks good. I’d miss the file a little too.

Is anyone able to compare the quality with Seki brand clippers? They were the highest rated on Amazon UK when I bought mine several years ago, and mine still perform extremely well.

Thanks.

Grr. Might have to order one too. Been using the scissors on a Vic Manager, then use the nail file afterwards. Clippers would keep the nails in a more uniform shape than scissors would.

See that Swiss Knife Shop has the older ones under $10. But that nail file doesn't look overly inviting...  :ahhh  Looks to have a small screwdriver on the end instead.

If only there was a Manager with the nail clipper on board...  :D

... strange ... Amazon does not have this particular nail clipper.
