Day 17 (bonus chicken-challenge action):

Yes!  A bonus chicken-challenge! What else would you expect in an Unleashed challenge?

The TA fixie vs small fryer.....

So...this was too easy. The TA's point is sufficiently acute enough to get into joints easily and robust enough to 'pop' them apart. This knife made cutting up a chicken a breeze!  :tu:

The parts got brushed with olive oil, dust with salt and a secret blend of 4 herbs and spices (that may have included pepper, cumin, garlic, and onion). Grilled with some Pecan wood chips....

Day 17:

I've become quite fond of this Taxtix Armory knife by Walter Sorrells. 3.25" Blade from S30V, micarta scales. Couldn't be simpler, but the feel and balance really works well for a small personal knife. It came with a kydex sheath that is worn IWB. I like the kydex for it's sweat protection, but kydex sheaths tend to scratch blades up. Most of the apparent wear & tear on this knife is due to unsheathing and resheathing the knife.

Still a great, and discreet, EDC.  :tu:

:like: Love simple designs in that size range.

Day 17

Some Strider Knives. Top one is a knife that was made out of scrap metal left over from their regular production. They use to make all kinds of neat knives from scraps. The middle knife is a EB-AC and the bottom folder is an AR.

No traditionals today?.

DAY 17
One of my Vics that help me out at work on a fairly regular basis.  Victorinox Handyman.
A very capable SAK and beautiful transparent green scales

Day 17. Yet another Spartan. I had originally bought this one for my collection, as seller had bunches exactly like this. But, some poor storage resulted in scale scratches, so I put it in rotation. This is my fourth Spartan (standard, Ruby, serrated, and then this one).   Diager is a French tool company, specializing in drill bits. This is captured in the graphics work, in which the spiral twists of a drill bit form the background to the company logo in the inlay.

The Spartan and Tinker (and even more so, the slightly smaller and lighter Tourist and Tinker Small) are lightweight, slim, and capable pocketknives; and nothing more. They're not heavy things to lug around, and actually weigh less than a lot of similarly sized traditional folders.

Day 17

A Utica Trapper - i grew up not that far from where this knife was made, so despite being newer it still has a little nostalgia factor.  It was a GAW shortly after I joined MTO, which was the start of me understanding just how great MTO is.

Don't let his macho-ness fool you, there is a sensitive side to him as well...

CRK Inkosi Insingo, basically an improved version of 21 with a wharncliffe blade.  I really quite like this iteration of CRK, dual thumbstuds(which btw, I never quite understand why it didn't come as a standard), finger grooves placement and frame lock postition, etc.

I literally spent hours watching Walter Sorrells talked about knife making on youtube, and it is cool to see one of this knife here.   :like:

Awesome! Maybe someday I'll get myself one (Image removed from quote.) Have you seen the new folder he came out with?

Whenever I see someone mention honey badger, I just can't help but to think of this video.  Probably the most popular honey badger video on youtube, and can't shake it off my mind(some profanity in video, apology to that)

Powernoodle Day 17
Show content

Since there have been a couple of lads showing their utility knives, I thought I would throw in this Workpro.  I carry it every day in addition to my other toys.  With a replaceable and long-lasting carbide blade, its great for breaking down cardboard boxes etc. while saving the edge on my primary folder and SAK.

Workpro utility knife, TNP Lightning OTF knife, Olight S2R Baton II in Powernoodle Green, Walter PPS M2 with factory 8-round mag, Victorinox Explorer Plus, Victorinox Manager, Fenix E05, Mr. Green nail clipper in pouch and mini Shapie.

Workpro utility knife on Amazon:  https://tinyurl.com/yc6savoh

That utility knife is the best thing Workpro makes.

Ninja relies solely on their deadly skill and needs no belt cutter or window breaker, technique trumps everything(like I know anything about Ninjutsu  ). :mn:
