Some lovely knives here!

Day 5

This is my Leatherman Flair, bought on a whim in the late 1990s as I thought it would be good for picnics seeing as it has a corkscrew, bottle opener, sharp knife, spreading knife and mini fork. However, didn’t take me long to break the bottle opener which has a small piece of yellow metal to hold it in place when levering crown corks off - it bent very quickly and now the opener bends back till it hits the hinge stop - it still functions, just at an odd angle!  Ah well, time for an Erdinger dunkel! Cheers everyone!

Day 5: Keeping up with the less seen knives here, I present you the french Wichard 10122. Offshore Sailing Knife - Partially Serrated Blade + Spike + Shackle Key. The handle is GID. Only takes a few moments in the sun to provide a very strong glow for quite awhile.

Awl 3 tools lock, with no play whatsoever. To release them, you have to open any another tool at 90º. That releases the lock. Except for the blade. To unlock it, you need to open the other two tools simultaneously at 90º.

(Discontinued model)

Never seen one of those... interesting design  :tu:

... what happens if one opens all tools?

Strange. The bone handles option is the only with the Wharncliffe blade...

NICE!!! I tried my best to convince my dad to get a Flair way back when knowing he would eventually part ways with it. Great to see one!

harr harr. Seriously tho, I've actually been taking pics of multitools lately and carrying some weirder ones, so I could technically not even fudge to get the last four days in. And the first post did say the rules are loose...

Now I've got to get one of those Wengers!  That is a great design!   :like:

:tu: While i'm glad to have it in my collection it's not the most comfortable knife to use, i don't find it very user friendly at all but that's to do with hand size, the handle is a tad on the small side

That 110.... Borgy, you are playing with my emotions...... :tu:

In Fools of April 2 i had the idea of going for it, started it and promptly lost the spring tension rod, project got put on the back burner then i found the rod a couple of months ago, very happy with how it turned out now  :tu:
