Nice work, everyone! G-Dizzle, your cat and dog clearly get on well! :like:

Day 24

DIY my usual spin on the bike first thing, and the tailwind home was a real delight - made me achieve speeds I can normally only dream of! Egg and bacon breakfast styling nicely, cappuccino nearly finished, so time to get on with earthing up my potatoes. Soldier ‘19’s main blade makes light work of opening a bag of compost to cut 50/50 with soil to earth up the spuds.

Day 23. Organized most of my Schrades into a folder thingy.  There are a few not technically Schrade, but related to Schrade knives in there. Most notably, this one. A 1945 Kingston USMC Demo Knife. This was what would become the Demo Knife. Condition is really poor; but $5 vs. $150.  The TL-29 really isn't--it's a civilian variant called the 204S. Kingston was a part of IKAC, which included Schrade.

In honor of Memorial Day, I'm back to my Vietnam vet 1961 Imperial.

Douglas, great solid use!

Day 24: A quick breakfast with my '96.
One of the more important use of the day too!  :D

Sounds like a really productive day, that's the best feeling!

Day 24

Everyone probably knows about the corkscrew trick to untangle anything, but in Soldier case I tried using the awl to substitute that.  But after 30 seconds to a minute failing to try to get to my lunch, I was just too hungry to battle that knot and wing it with a blade.

DAY TWENTY
Working out a DIY motor mounting assembly for my RC planes. If I can transfer motors between planes without scrapping them in the process, I can have more planes. :ahhh
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

The 108 mm “stag GAK” helping with breakfast duties.   This is a Vx GAK o bought 2nd hand from a great member here.  I removed the saw/opener layer and fashioned the scales out of white tail deer antler.

The deer ticks are in full swing here.  I pulled one off of me last night, and one off my sheepdog just a few minutes ago.  I wish the Soldiers came with tweezers.  Luckily, I pack a Classic on my keychain.  I understand why they don't, having been a soldier myself, but tweezers sure come in handy.

I've used the edge of my awl and a thumb to trap a tick and pull it off.

Sort of big, clumsy tweezers.....but it works!  :tu:

Day 24:

More garden work. I need to guide my pea shoots up to the trellis (fencing) for them to grow up. The trellis is about 8" from the new pea shoots; so, I cut some lengths of twine to use to guide the pea shoots up to the fence. Sharp knife = easy work.

p.s. Beet sprouts on the far right edge of the photo.
