Hello all! First of all, I should start with saying that I have Grant's blessing and permission for this post (hats off to you, sir, thank you).
It's been a while since I was active in the forum. I am in Nepal for two months now and have been volunteering with an NGO called All Hands and Hearts for a couple of weeks. This is a disaster response NGO active all around the world, including hurricane-hit regions in CONUS.
We are building a primary school here in a village. Here's a short video I shot at the site (sorry it is not in English but I think I can add subtitles some time) to give you an idea of what is being done here. The shiny metal structure I point out in the middle of the video is the "school" that is being used at the moment. It is just a metal hut with no flooring and a few benches...
There was a big earthquake in Nepal in 2015 and this is one of the disaster recovery actions in the region.
There is a fundraiser, too. 100% of the money collected here is going to be used in this project. Every drop of support counts (1 usd, sometimes even less than this, means a meal here). So, if you can contribute in anyway (giving support or spreading the word, anything), please do so.
