Today is the anniversary of the Boston Massacre, 1770.

This was an unfortunate event wherein hungry Colonists, fresh from a snowball fight, were demanding snack food from the authorities. British redcoats, shivering in Boston's bone-chilling cold were looking forward to their tea and were in no mood to share their hummus.

I have two knives, one my Granddad's; another a friend of mine's with electrical arc damage to the blade. My Granddad's is on the spine of the main blade near the tip, vs. I can tell my friend actually tried to cut a wire, given the arc damage is at the back of the cutting edge close to the tang. I view them as a reminder to shut off the power to anything electrical before working on it.

Yesterday I had very little use and now it is only a few hours into the next day and have already had multiple uses.

The scissors opened a bag of chips, the knife cut a pear, and the pliers opened a bottle of nail polish so my wife could paint her nails for MS Awareness month.

The washers I adapted yesterday work, the cable is now connected- but the bike still doesn’t alter resistance - not surprising really as the cable isn’t really under tension - will have to see if there’s a way to remove the slack at lunchtime.... no use for the Spirit, so here’s a beauty snap on my desk!

Good use, I hope no one in her immediate family suffers MS, it is not an easy long term illness to deal with.
