Day 10
Used the scissors to trim a couple rags to a good pocket size.  These are antimicrobal rags that are going to replace my normal edc bandanas.  I also used the knife to cut an extra large Reese peanut butter cup for a snack.

Day 10
Not an action shot because I needed my camera hand to catch the tomato when I actually cut it, but here is the Swiss Tool scissors about to cut a tomato from my plant.

Many thanks indeed, everyone! As promised, I’ve had a go at jazzing the new Spirit up with some red Humbrol enamel (left over from a bicycle restoration I did in 2016) no 19 red gloss. I thoroughly cleaned the area around the shield and logo on both sides with acetone, stirred up the enamel well, painted over the area with the logo and shield on both sides, propping the tool so that neither painted area touched the deck, left to dry for 90mins, wiped the excess paint off with a taut rag over the finger almost dry yet moist with acetone, and rubbed off the excess paint leaving the areas filled in with paint. It’s a method I used in my teens and beyond for picking out logos, lining cut-outs, etc on cycle components. Same process as for those using nail varnish I’m sure, but hopefully the enamel will be more durable in the long run.

Great job, look forward to the long term result.

Swiss Fuzz Day 10

Used the Swisstool to cut back some fencing getting in the way of Barbara Dickson Dyke.

(Image removed from quote.)

The minute after I took that shot, that part of the wall suddenly collapsed as well... right on bloody top of me. After ten minutes taking the pain trying not to cry, I realised miraculously nothing was broken or smashed... smurfing hell that was lucky, there was some big rocks in amongst that lot - the coping stones bounced off my shin landed right on my foot.

Day 11

Swisstool attended mail duty today, some wet shaving lather samples came in and pretty look forward to testing them someday.

I have a lot of time nowadays working from home due to the virus, and did kinda pickup wet shaving as a new 'hobby'.  Mrs on the other hand had picked up "experimental" cooking, and being her top lab rat I knew there is a 30% failure rate, and I usually don't say anything and just keep it to myself.  But in case I miss a day or two, you now know what might have happened...

A. Cut yourself shaving.
B. Clobbered by cookware.
C. Hurt back during mattress exercises.

Yep, understand! ;)
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

  Don't know about B and C, but did learn my lesson on A.

But seriously, I think I am developing a talent for making food taste great, and who knows, someday I could make it to Oscar going at this rate. :D

Swiss Fuzz Day 11

It's a lot colder today and the weather's been all over the place - snow, rain, wind, sunny and calm, hail, more rain, overcast, sunny, even more rain, etc, etc, etc...

During the showers, I sheltered in the greenhouse and fiddled with my tool...

Day 11 - not much use worthy of a picture but here is one when opening the backside of a picture frame. My wife paints and we are framing some for the baby's room

Sounds like your in for an interesting few days/weeks.

With new meals, my wife always reminds me to be honest if I don’t like something, because if I say it is good I could see it in the future.  Usually I’m the one saying honestly that something she made is good, while she’s saying it didn’t come out as well as she wanted.  But then we joke that after being in the Navy, my standard for “good” food is lower than many people’s.

Day 11
The Spirit scissors helped with cutting ends to finish my latest paracord project (a two dog leash) and then the chisel/scraper helped get some paracord residue off the spool tool I use when melting paracord ends

Thanks Sos24! Fuzz - looks like you’ve made a speedy recovery- good job!

More great uses and pics!

Day 11

Just about to get dinner on the go when the wooden knob fell off (oooo, matron!) the saucepan lid! Good job I have a spare or two on hand, so out with XBS’s Philips and the situation is saved without the need to hunt out one of the many multi-bit screwdrivers I’ve accumulated over the years and shoved in cupboards.....!

I have to say, that's one of the best looking multitools I've seen in a long time - I love beat-up black oxide and Spirit seems to be particularly well suited to that look.
