Day 13

Little guy's glow ball is out of battery, luckily its a silicon ball so I could jam in the philips and small flathead to make it work.  He is more interested in my Swisstool than the glow ball afterwards.

Fresh from the garden!  That's the best kind.

Day 12
Trying to think of what would make an interesting picture with my Swiss Tool but I'm stumped.
Interesting stump find, good job!

Always interested in Raspberry project, would love to build a streaming station with good interface, so someday I could watch video files straight right from the NAS on TV.

The Spirit has to have the sweetest lines of any Multitool ever made.

Day 13 saw us doing some maintenance around the house and she'd, getting things ready for when the nice weather sets in.

Day 13 - a tap handle in our lab broke yesterday and there was no way to get a new until next week. It was the small plastic tabs that are suppose to lift the inside of the valve that broke.. I found a paperclip that I figured might work.. In the pic I haven't pushed the clip all the way in, I did that in the lab when mounting it back. Not pretty but it did work and now we can have distilled water again. Awl to make the holes and pliers for the rest

Day 13

Whilst doing some ironing this morning, the iron conked out. Socket is ok, so next check is the fuse which looked fine, so I used the fine screwdriver on the Spirit to lever it out, swapped a new fuse in, and indeed it was a blown fuse - phew, no need to get a new iron - that’s an expense I could do without what with new SAKs due out soon - a question of priorities!! Speaking of new knives, did anyone fork out £539 on the Damascus santuko? Way outside my budget!

I think I saw that ad in my mailbox and I didn't even bother to open it...but £539 on the Damascus santuko by Victorinox?!    Why would anyone pay that instead of getting a high-end authentic Japanese made for 1/3 the price?

Jnoxyd - looking good - show us more! :pok:

Comis, I agree bonkers price, but they’ve sold out on the UK site! My 20cm Miyabi cost me £100 (half price deal), so not sure why this one costs so much....

Kottskrapa - good fix, you’ll have to let us know how it holds up! :tu:

I will! Unfortunately I'm not allowed to take pics in the lab so you will have to take my word on it. But so far so good, next shift that works night can on the other hand be a bit ruff on the equipment so I guess we can se that as a test

Used Seraated blade today to cut frozen gargo straps, i didnt want to cut those but had to cut cause otherwise our gargo wasnt going there where it suppose to. Hate it when first rains water and next day it freezing outside.

Swiss Tool? Correct.
Does it have plain edge spear point as well?

Barry’s has a model with a rescue style SE blade.

Now curious as to the model number of your SwissTool because I do like the Victorinox spear points with SE.

Thank you Antti in advance.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I'm really liking edc'ing this tool.  I just might have found my new companion!

 :hatsoff: Day 13 -
Quiet day, drove across the county to drop by daughter and provide Birthday gifts to her youngest son (11 yo).

Then returned home and opened mail and then examined scissors on a few other SAKs to the Spirit’s. (Unsure what’s the 6 layer model is, besides pliers and scissors, has saw and on backside a Phillips, hook, small flat blade, narrow chisel, and AWL. )

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Thank you, but not aware how to determine models of Vic’s MTs.   Took me almost 2 years before understanding the SwissTool and Spirit were different the a bit longer to learn I could get a Butterblade Spirit.
Now I see a SE spear point and now interest in the larger brother SwissTool to rival my LM ST300 if actually fitted with 2 blades, a SE and a PE

Not sure for model number, got this from second hand. I only received leather holster and tool itself. It has spearpoint blade and spearpoint SE blade. I think this is SwissTool (Original - 3.0323) they introduced sheepsfoot blade 2013

March 14:

π-day!

Making a pizza to celebrate π-day. Spirit's can opener made short work of a tin of tomatoes.

I've loved the Vic can opener for many years, but I confess the the LM style can opener has won me over. The edge goes to the Vic can opener for extra driver bit/pry tool, but I prefer the action of the LM opener when it comes to can duty.   :tu:
