Are we really half way already?  You guys are AMAZING!!
Well I decided to mark the event with the first eddition of the Swisstool the 1997.
Still solid as a rock and works just as good as any of my latest editions.  :woohoo:
Replaced a thermocouple, cleand a pilot orfice and adjusted the pilot valve on a flat top grill today but only managed a pic of staple pulling duty.

Day 16

No use for Swisstool today, pretty slow pace overall.

Keen eyes, my friend! :like:

Yes, I love those pens.  It's pretty rare to find 0.05mm ultra fine pen tip, so I could cramp my writings on the notebook.

Same here, the foam are for the used ones and the used batteries are in a smaller sorting box to I have to remember recycling them

Was it from closing?  Or from using tool from left hand?

It was a stupid mistake while open.  The packaging was vacuumed sealed on the treat and after cutting open a portion, I tried to peel the rest off before closing the blade.  The edge of the blade just touched the thumb but because of where it was, it was enough to start it bleeding pretty good.

Day 16 - I have been sorting batteries in nice sortiment boxes so that they don't short out while waiting to be used or when they are used but I thought about these button batteries and then I remembered that we hade some foam left from another project my wife did. Used the knife to cut to right size and then the scissor to cut slots for the batteries

(Image removed from quote.)

Forgot to take pics of me making the slots but this is the results

(Image removed from quote.)

[It's not failure if you learn something from it]

Nicely done and good idea.

Kottskrappa - great idea for battery storage, More nice pics and uses!

Day 16

Used the Spirit’s chisel to slice the tape on a just delivered post item - contents came from Germany, a harvester se. I like the dove etched onto the blade, but not so sure about the scales with peace in various languages on them- might remove the blade for a future mod, but not sure for now.

Very Cool.  I like the idea of the peace in other languages, but can see where it can takeaway from the normal.cleanness of the Alox.

Day 16: tightened a loose handgrip for Mrs R!

Good use.

Package opening again. I guess we'll have to get used to getting even more stuff delivered than before. Hope it won't last long. (Not that it's not convenient, but still, the reason behind it...)

The Swiss Tool looks really good on that charred wood. :like:

Did a bit of Yakisugi on some boards, not so much to preserve it but more to make it blend in, easier on the eye than fresh cut  :tu:

The grass is already growing and needed to be cut.  The wire cutters trimmed some weedeater string and the awl helped clean out the vents.

 :hatsoff: Day 16 -
A quiet St Patrick’s day.
At work doing some locker repair and I did need the pliers to retrieve a hex nut from a gap. Sorry no pictures allowed in locker / shower rooms.

At home pitching old work materials, and day dreaming if the Skipper would make a good partner for my Spirit.  (Reference c/o NeleDo here at MTo.)

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Nice 1997 SwissTool! BTW how many of them were made?
Wish I knew the answer, all I know is it was a limited number and finding one is not easy.  Just so happens I stumbled across this one in AWLSOME condition and snatched it up before anyone else realized what it was.
Now FRIDAY 15
Just tightened up some door hinge screws.

Very nice Douglas!  It's amazing how many small details were changed on the Swisstool.  They're a world unto themselves collection wise.

That's why I'm hoping after this challenge the Mods will decide we need Swisstool and Spirit collector badges like many other Saks.

Day 17

Swisstool scissors helps cut off the loose threads...love it, basically a 91mm scissors transplanted on this tool.

I think Swisstool came out earlier than Spirit, and though the design is quite different, I never quite understand why they decided to put a different scissors in the Spirit, instead of shrinking it.

Day 17 saw me using the scissors to trim some loose threads on my uniform shirts.  In lieu of those pictures, here's my duty carry.

We're a simple people and we like to keep things fairly easy to understand. So, we've ditched the 4-season approach for a binary system.

Winter is followed by alternating weeks of Summer and Winter.  Summer shows up for full-time work by June....end of June.  Somewhere in September we revert to alternating weeks of Winter and Summer. Then one day....maybe October....you realize that there haven't been any Summer weeks for a while. That's how we know it's Winter again. That and 12" of snow in the yard.

This week is a Winter week. Snow last nigt and probably again today/tonight. Maybe a touch of snow over the weekend. Quite possibly Summer next week.  :dunno:

  Binary weather, come to think about it, where I live don't have snow but it does feel kinda binary as well.
