Day 25

No uses to report from today, but here's a question for all Spirit owners: any play in the pliers/handles on your Spirits? As you can see on the photo, my Spirit X has a tiny amount, also has bit of a wobble closed. It was like that out of the box. Doesn't really bother me, I can live with it, but my other, OG Spirit is completely solid, even though I bought that one used, it was a flea market find.

Day 25 of 30

Used rescue blade to open packet what contained CyberTool M. Now im ready for next month challenge

(Image removed from quote.)

Only Tools Matters

It is surprising how fast this month has gone, but also looking forward to next month.

Great uses and pics, everyone- it’ll be good to see you in next month’s challenge, Antti!

Day 25

Been stuck shirking from home most of the day on the computer, but I did get out first thing to the supermarket which was surprisingly well provisioned so I’ll have some bottle beers for tomorrow now that the pubs are closed! Given that my haul weighed a fair amount, I think I deserve a dunkel - Spirit XBS on bottle opening duties! Cheers, y’awl!

Cheers.

Day 25
Great pictures today!  I'm also looking forward to the stack challenge.
Today I was just doing some yard work. Sorry, no action pictures, but the exceptionally sharp blade of the Swiss Tool did a good job of dead heading some roses.

Nice pic

Sorry to hear about the play.  Neither of mine has any play.

March 25:

Picked up a chicken today at the market:

(Image removed from quote.)

Yes, it was Chicken challenge day. The Swisstool deftly removed the backbone, scapulae, pelvic bones, and wishbone.

(Image removed from quote.)

Mr Chicken end up seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and then grilled (in the middle of a brief but intense snow storm).

(Image removed from quote.)

Mrs Nix loved it, and I thought the Swisstool did really well. As compared to simpler knives, pliers-based multitools like the Swisstool do require a bit more cleaning, but the results are worth it!  :tu:

I was wondering when we would see the chicken.

I LOVE jalapeno poppers Sherry!!

I love actual jalapeño poppers and these puffs are great also.  I can only find them at the NEX around here, but they’re probably easier to get in your neck of the woods.

I could swear you really have the best snack in every challenge I have seen you been thru...

Day 25
Man is this month is going fast.  The Spirit helped with a few different minor tasks, including cutting off the tamper seal on a bottle of Fisher’s allergy drops.

They're becoming more common up here.   The real ones are the tough ones to find right now

March 26:

No uses today. At this point in the challenge, like many challenges, the Swisstool has become a regular and unnoticed item in the pockets. It's just there.

I am a little surprised. I assumed that, being bigger than the Spirit, I would notice the Swisstool more. But not so. It has faded into the pockets like lint and a few coins. It's just there.

As I write, I'd be hard pressed to say which tool I prefer. The Swisstool has excellent scissors, a great main blade, and robust pliers. The saw is smallish, but handy. The awl is not my favorite design, but I've used it for a few impromptu tasks and it has done really well.

Awl in awl, I like it very much. There is part of me that would rather be carrying a Huntsman or Climber--SAKs that get me through most any day--but I do like having this mini-tool chest in my pocket. For a pocket tool, the Swisstool packs a lot of utility.

We still have a few days to go, but the Swisstool has won a place in my EDC already.  :tu:

I've been catching up and just want to say Good Effort there everyone. I dug my SwissTool X out the other day and thought ... haven't been on MTo lately ... I wonder what mischief Fuzzy and Nix have been getting up to?

Well clearly I have my answer.

Though Fuzzys figure hugging jeans and Nix's naked chicken being given a SwissTooling and a rub worryingly blended in my mind ....

This sums up pretty much how I feel about the Spirit.  I love the toolset and do not notice it in my pocket organizer anymore than I would one of my favorite SAKs.  The only thing I do miss is having my magnifying glass.  But that being said, there is still a part of me that would just prefer my Yeoman (or one of its modded variants).

Fresh delivery of wildlife food (mainly birds and squirrels!) so the main blade of the Spirit XBS will be on duty box opening and chopping up the cardboard to put into the recycling bin.
