What did Santa bring you?
on: December 26, 2019, 12:27:11 AM
I hope everyone is healthy and well this holiday season, but as we are a gear related website, it's important to talk about the tools we used to install batteries, open packages, open bottles of beverages etc- and if course to show what you got!

I got a few interesting things that I will go into later, but the highlights for me were a Lifestraw and a Yeti coffee mug.

There's more, but I'd love to hear what you guys got- and if any if you just got coal, let us know sonwe can get together and grill up some meat!  :D

Started with an engagement!

Then Santa brought me a Leatherman FREE P4, SOG Baton Q1, lots of candy, new clothes for work, more socks than I'll ever need, and some single barrel select jack Daniels.

Really just glad to be back in the South (US) and out of the rain!

Congratulations Nathan!  She looks like a keeper- learn to convincingly say the phrase "yes dear" and your relationship will last at least as long as the Leatherman and SOG tools will!

Wow, congratulations!
I got a unique blanket / hoodie, new slippers, and our older son got me a 12ga shotgun with a hat, I’m still trying to figure this one out, but he said we’re going to go use it, and yet I was told I remind them of Elmer Fudd,,
Oh yeah and since someone gave me a shopping card I bought myself a stein I always wanted..

Lenovo Legion Y540 with i7- 9750H, Nvidia GTX 1650 4Gb, 16Gb ram, 256Gb SSD, 1Tb 7200rpm disk.

I was due for an upgrade, and it should keep me entertained in Paris.

Might be stretching the definition of "gear" a bit;

G-Shock Mudman.
Osprey roll organizer.
Hanna "vintage" linen flatcap in navy.
Wiha precision bit driver set.

Mudman is a great watch.!

It's my third G. So far the only one with a factory strap I actually find comfortable. I'll still mod it with a NATO though. The only thing I explicitly don't like so far is the very heavy button resistance. I'm hoping it lightens up a bit with extensive use.

Very nice, does it have the low light mode on it?

If so then all you need to do is the trade in the block for a Sig

Congratulations NK. The phrase happy wife happy life is something to always remember .

I got a new Ortlieb messenger bag and beer. Mrs. TJ got a new car.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

I might be crazy but it's kept me from going insane- Waylon Jennings
