Living on a farm, I use belt cutters a lot for baler twine. Not only that, but they are a good way to rip through a lot of packaging without either cutting you, or damaging what you're extricating. And, instead of a tiny, proprietary razor blade (though some I've seen use sections of snap-off utility knife blade, but are hard to get at when they dull--my Eickhorn uses no less than 6 handle screws) it uses a cutout in the handle, allowing the blade to do the cutting, with the handle guarding the edge.
And that texturing pattern... Awesome. I'm sure wet, slimy, greasy, covered in diesel, whatever hands should have no trouble gripping it. I am really liking these folders. The lack of blatant branding really helps.
