I heard a rumour that the Vic Cheese Knife 2.0  ... was up at the Shot Show ...  and might be up for general release

Yes, you're correct. It will be the same knife, as Le released before, but with usuaal shield and without etching on main blade. The same Story as it was for first version of cheese knife earlier

It not will be but already is on sale in some Victorinox flagship stores.  ;) The price is CHF 44.

Probably, two real pictures of this knife exists - yours one and another (from FB, if I'm not mistaken), which I wasn't able to find..

No, I was not at SHOT (it's not good for Russians health now  ;) ).

The picture was taken at the Victorinox flagship store in Lucerne.

Unfortunately, I was in a hurry, and the lighting in the store was dimmed (perhaps because I was the only visitor), and I took the picture through the glass using my old smartphone camera.
 
Therefore, I did not publish this photo in the SAKWiki because of its terrible quality.

I have the version 1.0 (seen here with its GAK and some Nomad friends) and was excited when the 2.0 came out.  I'm glad to know it will be available in regular livery!

I only have bad photos of this one, sorry. But yes. The rumours are true.

Also the new fixed blades are being released in North America. I’m told that they’ve been available for some time though?
