Nice looking sheath ! Ever thought about making one for the LM Minitool ?
Would love to see one for the !!!MINI!!! as well
Aw, thank you guys! And sure, I'm up for making a pouch for whatever tool you'd like to name I should note though that getting a really perfect fit without the tool present is not easy and the tolerances on these pouches are very fine (because of how the flaps line up), so you've got two options:1. You can send me a good set of dimensions, and I'll make a wooden form as close as I can and work off that - I've done it before for a flip phone (https://silverknife.co.uk/makingthings/13-flip-2-leather-phone-holster/) and I'm told it was a good fit, but it takes extra time (so I'd have to charge more) and I can't guarantee it's perfectly snug.2. You could ship me your Mini and I'll make you a perfect pouch for it Since this would allow me to make a really good, tested pouch for a relatively niche tool that I could add to my shop, and you'd be taking on the cost and risk of shipping your precious (two ways), I'll say if I sold at least one more of them I'd refund you half the R&D cost.My current price for a custom pouch this size is £20 for the R&D (£30 if I have to make a form) plus £22.50 for the pouch (£25 if you want a magnetic snap closure) plus shipping. If you fancy it, let me know!
Wouldn’t a 3D printer do a better job and faster? Just curious
Maybe there's an option number 3...Someone here who owns a Mini could make a wooden form of it and send that one to you. You end up with a nice mold for a Mini pouch and no Mini is handed over to the mercy of the Postal Services, win/win situation .
True...But you would have to own a 3D printer first .
Totally up for that! Anyone fancy having a go? (3D printing would work too, but bear in mind that it's not just the primary dimensions that matter - things like the rounded off edges of the tool make a surprising amount of difference to the circumference and the fit...)
