My Green Glowing Ranger
on: February 15, 2020, 02:31:50 AM
The glow isn't super bright with this particular paint except for the first few minutes, but this particular brand I've used on iron sights on my guns and a few other pieces of outdoor gear that help at dusk. The biggest benefit from this brand is that it will maintain a medium to low glow for quite a good while (especially if the sun does the charging vs. artificial light).   I decided to do this on one of my Rangers, and I really like how it turned out.   I initially had intended to do this with plus model scales, but the back scale with the pen offers very little available space for the paint and I find the more that you add in one spot, the longer the residual glow - so I opted for regular scales instead.

Thank you, toolguy!

You're welcome.

Here is Vic's Rescue tool after a few moments of exposure to a high intensity LED Surefire.

Yes sir!  Victorinox did an outstanding job with their glow in the dark scales.  I need to get some of their 91mm versions.
