Has anyone seen/heard any new info? I don't have a facebook or other social media account so my sources are a bit limited.

They probably don't want to cannibalize the 85 mm Delemont line. At least as far as I am concerned, the availability of scissors is their USP (the Evowood handles are great too)

Alox Delemont would be a good thing

Looks like Farmer X is the official name... 0.8271.26 is the product code.

https://flashlightshop.de/product_info.php?products_id=10725&osCsid=34cd1d2e3706079b414b568644ab5260

Available in silver... but I understand it SMS.de will have other standard colours for it...

I was on a website where they had it listed as "coming soon".  You had to click on it but when you do it says it will be available June 30th.

Yesterday I've learned about the Farmer X.
Today I got it. I just couldn't wait even though I was sure it would be too much for pocket carry.
Which it is, lol.
Still, a very nice knife! :-)
It will probably end up as a hiking/canoeing backpack backup knife.

Oh dear, what shame , you've got an excellent knife for outdoor adventures :D
Could also try a belt sheath or clip solution for edc?

Photo: among the reds ...  :D

Old Hickory Cabbage knife for food at home, Farmer for light travel without backup knife, Pioneer I take to work (Huntsman as backpack backup), Forester for outdoor action (Farmer X as backpack backup).

Could also try a belt sheath or clip solution for edc?

PS: I don't trust clips and hate sheaths. :ahhh And even when I do wear a sheath (Buck 110 FTW!) it would interfere with the waist belt of my pack so in the end I don't wear a sheath ...  :D

Farmer X vs Leatherman Juice CS4

As I await the Farmer X to become available in my country hopefully in the not too distant future, I cannot help but think of the similar tool set from my decade old Leatherman Juice CS4. Both have the saw, scissors, awl, main blade, cap lifter, can opener, metal scales. But the Juice CS4 adds the cork screw and pliers !

Thoughts?

Only one of those tools can be bought in shops for the foreseeable future.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Witty thought

I was hoping for some feedback from someone who have used both, e.g. how they compare with actual usage? :dunno:

The Juice has pliers.  That's what it boils down to me.  Yes, it also has a corkscrew, but that isn't important to me on a SAK/MT.
As far as the other tools, I think the Farmer X is superior, and in a smaller, lighter package.

Sadly, at least in Switzerland, a new Juice CS4 costs a whooping 3 times the amount of a new Farmer X (153 vs 55)

Though in some ways it pains me to say so, every tool on the Juice that has a direct analogue on the Farmer X is better designed and executed on the Farmer X.

This isn't to say the Juice is bad; My in-laws have a small farm, and my FIL has for years carried (and abused) a Juice S2 we gifted him.  Cosmetic issues aside, the tool is still fundamentally sound in spite of what it has endured.  I was disappointed when Leatherman discontinued the Juice line, as I felt the Juices filled a niche in the LM lineup (small enough to pocket, but large enough to do some real work) that has not been adequately back-filled.

Obviously, the Juice wins by default on tools it has that the Farmer X does not, e.g. pliers and corkscrew.

Good comment and I agree with you about the quality difference based on the other Victorinox's that I currently own. In terms of pocketability, I would add the Farmer X weighs nearly one third lighter (good enough reason for me to get one  :D) but a tad thicker compared to the CS4, based on the specs. Can't wait to see the Farmer X in person when it becomes available here.

Based on their spec sheets, CS4 weighs 159g, Farmer X 109g. Farmer X is 31% lighter to be exact.
