I had no idea you chaps were vegos.
I've been one for twenty-something years.
Yeah how do u know someone is a vegetarian?

They'll tell you

My journey to vegetables started off with a drunken bet and continues for moral reasons for want of a better phrase.  Every time I crave roast chicken I tell myself it's temporary.

I'm slowly getting there...
Mostly gone off fish, don't eat much beef or pork.
Still eat lots of chicken though.
My motivation is to ease my conscience about my environmental footprint.  ::)

The last doctor I visited did imply that I need to eat red meat...
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

I believe humans are meant to be omnivores. I struggle to eat enough protein at least according to the app I use to track my food (different story I'm training for a race and also trying to drop a few kgs ) but yeah you need a balanced diet and especially when you're younger.  Certain species of fish are very good for you the issue has become sustainability which is a whole different discussion from the so so so so deliciousness of a juicy pork pie.

Did someone say pie?

Being English I'll eat a sweet pie but a 'real' pie is savoury and made out of delicious meat type products. Goes really well with a Guinness! Though so do most things. :D

Hmm obviously we have some regional variation going on here.
Here's what it is down our way :
Morning - breakfast
Midday- lunch/dinner
Evening - tea
Night time - supper (optional)

What's your version pab's?

But Pab's the whole idea was to highlight the differences but you've just made it the same! We look foolish now. And during British pie week as well. Shame

I'm in the process of inventing the Ultimate British Offal-free Adventurous Tasting Pie. I'm hoping for a gold medal in this little attempted category of vegetarian pie.

If that seems like a mouthful--and it should be--it may be referred to as UBOAT Pie.

Pics after it is completed.

(I should add Mrs Nix wanted us to enter the Apple-Blackberry Pie category, but I was afraid the competition would be too stiff, and opted for the comparatively safe category of UBOAT pie where the standards are lower. Call me a coward, but I'm going for the gold here.)
