Rather have a thermarest (or similar) the plain old foam ones aren't really that comfy, they just add a bit of thermal insulation, saying that i survived for years using one of them till i found out about the other options

I have a blowup one.  I used to be fine with just bag on ground sheet, then got a bit older and went with a foam roll.  These days if I don't have a bit of air beneath me I can't move by morning
