While not a big fan of locking blades, I still like the Buck X-Tract Fin. For a handle that still feels like a knife, you get a great pair of paper scissors, and a couple of screwdrivers. It rides well in the pocket, is comfortable to use, and has a very versatile blade shape. No pics, mine's stashed away in a box at the moment.
A K2X with a saw would be niceWhat other brand / options besides the SAK trekker are there?

When first seeing this I thought it would take off like a rocket ship . The first one then the second one didn't seem to make such a splash tho?
It's well known that a Vic Outrider is the only knife based multitool anyone ever need, but that's not why I'm here - I had no idea that Spyderco had ventured into the realm....What, pray tell, is the model of that item? Is it still in production?
The closest thing available currently is the Rangergrip 74 or something in that line.
Right. But the ranger grip is retractable, small light duty pliers that barely open at all. The Swiss grip has big heavy duty fixed pliers that are very robust and strong. Completely different uses. Charles.
