“Review” websites
on: April 25, 2020, 05:45:19 PM
I avoid those top-10-list websites when I can. They are almost always an obvious low-effort cash grab written by someone who has never even handled the things that they are talking about. Every now and then though, I will get sucked in to the trap and click on one in my search results.

This one just befuddles me....

This was a “Best Mora Knives for Bushcraft” list. Notice the sentence: “Although most Mora knives are made by the Morakniv, there are still products of other brands.”

If you come across things like this, post them here for entertainment purposes!

Many of these sites aren’t very informative and downright deceitful when they don’t publish their sponsors, their review methodology and offer an ability for public comment and scrutiny by not offering comments sections or a forum. Two sites I frequent, regularly, are protoolreviews and toolguyd. I have used both sites for more than 5 years as trust them. While they are opinionated and of course have inherent biases we all have, they do a good job being objective in my opinion. I also trust their reviews as the follow the three ‘reputation factors’ (as I call the three pillars above).

I should add, both sites regularly review and post about new multi tools and knives which of course is something we all enjoy!
