Old Cross 30 Day Challenge

Hi everyone. Would there be any interest in doing a 30-day challenge for all Old Cross SAKs? It looks like October might be open. OC October has a nice ring to it. We could run it simultaneously to another challenge, but I don't want to take participants away from other challenges or prohibit those who have already committed to another challenge from joining. Any thoughts on timing?

I am not sure if this idea will get any traction. I know many folks, including myself, have a difficult time using their precious OC models on a regular basis. I guess that's what makes it a challenge though! I think it would make for some great photos.

Merit Badges Start a new thread and post a picture of fire making kit or fire with a multitool Start a new thread and post a photo of the multitool for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge by carrying  a GEC knife and post a photo of it  for thirty (30) consecutive days. I’ll watch from the sidelines G-Dizzle. I only have one OC that’s mint, so I‘m just not brave enough to carry it for a month. If I could find another by October though...  :cheers:

I thought the same, but was trying not to conflict with other planned challenges. If the general consensus is to move it up thats fine. We can try to get people’s opinion as they join.

I'm in. Two of the three I own are pretty much filler condition, so they can be used and carried

Looking forward to this!   Can we define "old cross?"  I have a bunch of old cadets, voyageurs, pioneers, and soldiers that all have obsolete crosses on them.  Are these all fair game?

Exactly.  I'm not the originator, but my preference would be to interpret it broadly so we get to see more old SAKs!
