Just got back home from the supermarket  :woohoo:
Had to look for some healthier food options for me
And I found some cheese with 50% less fat
Which is great as I love cheese and this will be good
to try out tonight and have it on some brown bread rolls  :D

It’s not just VWs my friend

On all my cars; British, American, Japanese, German, it was the same story


I will say though, on both the British and American cars there was no consistency between when bolts are SAE or Metric...Or when it’s Torx, E-Torx, HEX or Phillips screws

Take my Jeep for instance; the gas struts for the tail gate use E-Torx, most of the interior bits are held on by Phillips Screws, the headlights and turn signals are use Torx screws, taillights are held on by metric bolts and the engine compartment is a total mishmash of metric and SAE bolts (mostly metric, but still..)
Same with suspension all a mishmash of SAE and metric bolts

And now most cars need a diagnostics tool
To remove the service notification
Or any error codes that show up on the dashboard
I had to buy one for my car so I could clear the codes after I fixed the problems
I bought a lead that connects to my laptop and downloaded the
program that came with it so I can clear codes and service intervals  :ahhh

I bought a lead that connects to my laptop and downloaded the

I think I paid maybe €10 for my OBD II scan tool like 10 years ago

It has 4 functions (5 if you count RESCAN)

It can give you the codes, in my case I don’t have any.



Erase codes...



One called “I/M” that I think is “live data” but I can’t get it to work for some reason, just says “N/A” under all the categories.



Last one is VIN, which is supposed to give the vehicles vin number, but is always says “Not Supported”



I have tried on several vehicles and the “I/M” and “VIN” didn’t work on any of them.


But regardless, as long as it can give me the codes and erase them, then I can’t complain too much for €10 and having lasted 10 years now
