From the Old Earth  1981.  Welsh with English subs.  Under an hour.  Visits an ancient Celtic custom of telling the future by ritual killing of a man with a knife.  It works too.  Going into a trance now..... I can see that the village will have one less goatherd.  Entertaining.
Best wishes.  G

Weapons  2025.  Long movie.  Slow in spots.  Story line is told in a non-linear form.  Cuts back and forth.  Unusual production.  Intense and disturbing.  Best wishes.  G

Chisum  1970.  Might have been the first time I ever saw this one.  I don't remember for sure.  An okay movie with John Wayne.  Based loosely on the Lincoln County War.  Best wishes.  G

I'll sing you a true song of Billy the Kid,
And all of the foul, desperate deeds that he did,
Way out in New Mexico long, long ago,
When a man's only chance was his old forty-four.

Frenzy Moon  2025.  All the cliches here.  Three young couples go to a cabin in the woods.  Whine and moan about cell phone coverage.  Act disgusted over old bear rug in cabin.  Eeeew!  Throw in a werewolf.  Voila, instant bad movie.  I made it through about 20 minutes.  Best wishes.  G

Stand by for Action  1942.  Navy.  Old recomissioned 4 stack destroyer movie.  Entertaining in spite of it being about as realistic as a Popeye cartoon.  Best wishes.  G

The Proud Ones  1956.  A good western.  I like Robert Ryan.  AI gave the title of the movie and the statement "English Dubbed!"  It was always in English.
Best wishes.  G

The Longest Day  1962.  Almost three hours.  D-Day, WW2.  Based on Cornelius Ryan's book by the same name.  John Wayne and an all star cast.  The movie seems much shorter.  English with German and French dialogue in subs.  There is an inferior version on-line.  If you find lapses in the sound track and no subs for the German and French language parts, then you have the butchered version.  I would advise you to find the full movie.  The inferior version also is missing the beginning portion.  A must see for history buffs.
Best wishes.  G

 :iagree:

May have been only movie that actually included the deeds of those that glided into Europe under cover of darkness.

My uncle. Mom’s oldest brother flew a glider twice, once into Belgium several weeks before D-Day, every one dressed as locals. His passengers went one way, he another with resistance and was returned to England 3 weeks later. Then second flight before d-day. Said shortest landing ever. A 3 point type. All survived. His exit was not as easy.   Still earned his wings, and then flew in KOREA as Navy pilot off aircraft carrier.

I read about his exploits via letters we found after my mom passed away a couple years ago.  Packaged up her family’s history and passed onto her youngest brother who had no idea what his oldest brother did in the WAR.

YES, a good movie, especially if a history buff.

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

No Indiana Jones movie beyond The Last Crusade exist in my dojo.  Krystal Skull? Cannes?  Really?!   Dial of Destiny?  Haven't even bothered.  LMK if it's worth anything at all
