John Wick 3 - Parabellum: 8/10

Excellent movie as expected, there's some very innovative fight scenes

See the spoiler for a separate rating

Show content
5/10 at best for the parts where Halle Berry features
I loved the dogs, but they can only grab so many bad guys by the crotch before it looses cringe-value.
Her fight scenes looked fake, she's too slow so there's always a bad guy waiting while she finishes with his buddy, and she displays apparent strength in dealing with a man 3x her size.......not convincing at all.

Bird box (2018) - 4/10

It’s not terrible, but I just hate these kinds of movies where nothing is really explained and it’s just up to you to make sense of it all with your own imagination.

To me it just leaves too many plot holes and me wondering what I even just watched.

With that said though; it’s good to see Sandra Bullock still at it and putting on a great performance.

MaleVolent (2018) - 7 / 10

I am one of those people who can watch horror movies and sleep like a baby at night.

I also had really low expectations for this movie for some reason.

But I must say; there were some genuinely scary scenes in this movie.

Its clearly a low budget film, but for what it is and what they had to work with, I will give it a generous rating.

It’s by no means as good and scary as sinister or conjuring, or any of those movies. But those movies are also on a completely different budget.

Movie on Netflix called "Security".

Interesting, not at all what I expected. Given what appears to be an indie movie, Id give it a 6.5-7/10

Apostle (2018) - 03 / 10

I am giving it a low rating because it was building up to a lot but ended with....nothing....really...

2 hours of constant build up which really goes nowhere...

I will say though; the movie is well acted and well made. It’s a shame the story just sucks!

Just goes to show that even a well acted and well made movie can still suck if the story is terrible.

I have never heard of this movie before, I just came across it on Netflix, but honestly don’t bother watching it. It’s really not scary or even worth watching.

Down a dark hall (2018) - 02 / 10

I am not even going to bother writing a whole a lot about it, because its not even worth going into any detail about.

All I will say is; Uma Thurman must really be desperate for money since she has agreed to be in this movie.

Honestly just don’t bother watching this movie, it’s not scary, it’s not well made, it’s not well acted, plot makes no sense and is full of plot-holes. And lastly it’s just really boring!

Just don’t watch this movie

Agree.

I don’t think it was as bad as everyone says it is either. Yeah it’s nothing spectacular, but nowhere near as bad as some has made it out to be.

Atomic Blond 4/10

Good cast and production values cant make up for a movie that can't make up its mind what it wants to be. Fails as an action movie, fails as a spy story.
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw - 7/10

Entertaining, but once you've seen the trailer you know the story

Crawl - 6.75/10 :P

Not a great movie, but if you have nothing else to watch it's entertaining enough.

First man 10/10  follows Neil Armstrong’s journey throughout the 1960s, from x15 test pilot to walking on the moon.

The Bravery of all the men (and women) who flew  (and still do) in the space programme is really brought home in this film. With all the science and planning involved in each mission you still needed men made of the right stuff to fly the rockets.

A must watch movie.
My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

The Dead
2010

10/10 :hatsoff:

Wow. This was one of the best zombie movies I have ever seen. Great performances, great scenery, a simple story that worked, great characters. I loved everything about this.
If you like zombies but want a serious take on the subject, this is a must see.. Definitely recommended. :like:

The Dead 2
2013

2/10
No reason to watch this. Just watch the first one. Everything that made the first great is missing from this.
This is boring, predictable, and very slow paced only to go nowhere.
The zombies are terrible and not convincing. Did they not have a zombie supervisor? The zombies in the first one were great.
The hero is a clumsy idiot. From the very start he gets into situations he could have not survived, but thankfully the extras slow down and even stop to allow him to escape.
The side characters range from annoying to uninteresting, do nothing for the entire movie, do not behave and react like normal people would in those situations, and are portrayed terribly.
No chemistry between the cast.

Absolutely terrible. It is amazing to see how off everything is considering this was made by the same people who made the first one.

Rewatched "Buckaroo Banzai: Across the Eighth Dimension"

10/10

This is a quirky, campy movie that I have always loved. I love the way it is set up...as if the characters are from a world where they are so well known, that there really is no great need to get into the details of who they are, or why they do what they do. It is random and funny. I remember when I was younger and watched it for the first time, I was kinda like, "what did I just watch?" It does not hand-feed explanations of every detail to the viewer...you kinda fill in the blanks with your imagination. Example - In a scene where they are sweeping the compound for bad guys, Jeff Goldblum sees a watermelon in an industrial press and asks one of Buckaroo's team, "What's with the watermelon?" His response? "I'll explain it to you later." Haha...welcome to the Banzai universe!

Don’t miss the first 15sec cause there’s a part to the beginning that’s not the movie,
But oh was it good, me, the wife, and the kid, all thought it was better then the first and we love the first,
Funny part was Elvis was in the theater, I tried to get a pic but he snuck off before I could get one, but a solid 10/10!

Joker  7/10

It was good, not Godfather good , but well worth 10 bucks to go see it in the theatre. Ole Leaf Phoenix is a pretty good actor . He played Johnny Cash very well so I knew he'd do a good job. Maybe I am just ready to move on from Leto's Joker as it's pretty rough.
