Zombieland Double Tap - 9/10  :woohoo:

Same male lead, so easy to compare with Deadpool as far as level of violence and humor, but Zombieland is much funnier!
There are several truly side-splitting scenes and one new character which is hilarious
Was still a good movie!

Star Wars: RISE of Skywalker. 8/10. It was entertaining for a Star Wars movie. Mrs. TJ is more of a SW fan than I am and she seemed to enjoy it. I like the Mandalorian myself.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

It's been a dry week or two, started watching several movies and only get a few minutes in

The only noteworthy movie-related thing was Ricky Gervais' speech at the Golden Globes.....epic!

A very good war story, recommended if you are in the mood for one.

I went to see it on Saturday. Personal rating would be a generous 4/10. Although beautifully shot, and well acted, everything else was piss poor

Midway - 9/10  :salute:

I recently watched a video on youtube explaining the chess match of the battle of Midway and it found it fascinating.
With this basic knowledge I was looking forward to the movie, and it was very entertaining, great action etc etc etc.
My only criticism is although it is there, they do not show the "chess match" aspect as well.  Maybe understandable because this is not a narrated animation with an overhead view of the battle.

Search Party 1/10

Two guys go to Mexico to find their friend who has been carjacked and left stranded, but it is really about stupid people being stupid and doing stupid things.  I might have found it more amusing if I was 13 instead of 53.  What a godawful mess of a picture. This movie from 2014 is exactly one hour and thirty five minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Ford v. Ferrari - 9.5/10

I laughed and I cried, and I think I did both along with Mr Ford at one point....

Amazing movie about amazing people, I know it's based on real events, but I wonder how much it was dramatized.
The politics are sickening, that's probably real, but I would love to know if that test drive with Mr Ford really happened.

Excellent movie  :tu:

Haven’t seen that one, not the Mrs thing, yet we did see the Henry Ford museum, talk about huge and talk about everything, I posted a bunch of pics of it on here, like the presidential limos including John F. Kennedy’s and even the chair Abraham Lincoln was sitting in, in the Theater,  I’ll see if I can find the link

Your Mrs might be surprised, I would love to know what % of the movie is dedicated to actual racing, it's a story about people and Shelby's fight against corporate Ford.

I'm a richer person for now knowing who Ken Miles is  :hatsoff:  :salute:

I'm interested in Midway but the trailer puts me off, it seems too "Hollywood" like Pearl Harbour.

Joker 8/10

Some say it's too dark a movie, but I like it.  Telling it from the other side offers a very different prospective and the acting was great.  But Heath Ledger's version remains my all time favorite.

The Aeronauts - 9/10

Not too long as seems to be the trend at the moment, based on historical fact.

Well worth it with some serious t**tical shrinking moments  :tu:
