Well me and the little guy went out and cleaned the steps off, made a little path to the garage and cleaned the driveway.. I’m done!

I think this is going to be a short week for the kid, cause not only is it to snow/sleet tomorrow, but the temps are to dip into the neg’s through the rest of the week and with a very high wind makes it very bad, and they will cancel if it gets around -20..

It's not as cold here as it is for you guys up north, but it is painfully cold to me.  Went out for a smoke and I started shivering and had to put on a jacket.  We broke some records this weekend that had stood for 100 years. It has rained almost continuously for the last 3 days (close to 2 inches on Saturday) with 49 mph winds and we even had some tornadic activity Sunday evening. My phone says it's 54 degrees but that it feels like 48. It feels a lot colder than that to me. I found this poor old iguana on my metal fence which is painfully cold to the touch, either passed out from the cold or frozen to death. I won't know which until the sun comes out.  If he scampers off he was just cold and if he doesn't he's dead.

It says it’s 15°f (-9c) out, but the wind is howling, that’s what I woke up to, their saying a good 20-25mph, I’ve noticed it’s 2deg colder in a couple places in the house cause that winds pushing that cold air through the windows, and one of them I have covered with a blanket! Its started snowing again, we were in a little clam stage, it’s suppose to keep snowing for the next 6hrs, then turn to a mix, and yet some lady just pulled up to take her kids sledding across the street since schools canceled.. nuts..

It's up to 57 now but still feels a lot colder in the wind.  The iguana is still on the fence.  He's alive. He turned to look at me as I approached.  Now he's hanging off the side of the fence instead of on the top rail. Trying to catch some sun.

 :woohoo: poor iguana was comatose.  Glad he/shes alive and trying to warm up.  We get laughed at here in SoCal by those from other parts where it get really cold.  We put on jackets soon as it hits 60  :facepalm:.  Mittens and scarfs when it hits 50s.   

Hey when you live in 75F year round temps your body acclimates to it rather nicely.  Being born and raised in warmer climate I totally understand that iguana  :rofl:

Whoooo, well that was fun, went out and cleaned the sidewalks with the snowblower, even cleaned the neighbors and a walkway for the others, funny part was the little guy wanted to run it :whistle: and as much as I didn’t want to do the driveway I let him do it, and since we’re in a emergency all cars have to be off the road, so if the other kid comes home he’s gotta park on the driveway rather then on the street like he does.
   Now back to the little guy, he’s working the snowblower and I’m just watching him, all of a sudden he hits a bump and he walks right into the machine,  :rofl:
He did that a couple times, then once he pulls the trigger working the wheels and he machine took off litterly dropping him on his face, lol but he held on, then lastly he goes to hit the switch to turn it off, it chugs but then starts right back up, he’s like what the heck :think: , so he hits it again, and it does the same, so he puts two and two together and figures you got to hold the switch down, lol, but he did it, did a good job too!
   After all done we walked across the street and he took his sled for a few trips, we’ll have to do it again after this freaking snow stops!
