The Mrs decided to take my meal a little further, me and the kid would do just a bowl of chili with cornbread on the top, well, she took a pack of hotdogs and cut them up and threw them in with the chili then covered it all over with the cornbread, not bad if your a chili dog lover, I think something a little spicier then a hotdog would have been a little better but this was still good, as you can see between the three of us there’s not much left..

For lunch the Mrs made me a little sub using leftover spiral cut ham from Xmas, she put provolone and lettuce on it but I had her put two diff mustards, both my honey mustard(one of the best for dipping) and her Jalapeño mustard, and I must say by adding the two of them made that sub

Jalapeño mustard! :tu: I picked up some chipotle aioli during yesterday's Meijer run. That's also amazing stuff.

Pastina, something my grandmother used to make all the time, it was one of my grandfathers fav lunches, I loved it just plain but my grandfather liked it with a slice of cheese laid on top so it would melt and he could stir it into the soup, so tonight I had me a huge bowl for dinner, it would have been better for lunch since I had to clean up all the sidewalks, walkways, and driveway of 4” of snow, yet I don’t need to warm up since it’s 78° in the room, but here’s a pic,

It tastes good, you just got to get the ratio right! I still haven’t figured it out, my grandmother used to just dump so many handfuls of the pastina into the broth and nail it every time, me forget it, I’ll always have to add just a little more water cause I added too much, thus diluting the taste by a little..

The kid had hotdogs for lunch so I just fig, why not? So I grabbed the pickles and the Mrs cut them up and mixed some mustard in,, to top it off I made the hotdogs in a special toaster oven and I put the rolls on top of it while they toasted, I must say whoooo, that homemade relish had some HEAT!

Not sure.  I think it may have been beef.  This was the Scottish Sampler with a Bridie, a Meat Pie, a Banger, mashed potatoes, peas, and onion gravy.

When I was young I used to eat pea's off the fence in the back yard, after that I was always forced to eat a lot of things, since then I’m sorry yuck, for some things it’s not even a taste but a texture..

I like peas fine, though the portion on this plate seemed a bit out of proportion to the rest of the items.  After eating the meat dishes, I mixed the peas with the mashed potatoes and gravy, and the combination was quite tasty.

Just had me some “hot” hotdogs, these bad boys have some kick, but then I also added a very unique mustard which also has some kick to it having horseradish, but the relish cooled it down a little, I like to cook them in a toaster that tips over and you can use it as a mini oven, so while there cooking I put the buns on top and they can toast.. of course after dinner and the wife and I are watching tv the kid wanted something and sure enough he wanted toast, so of course back to the toaster.. he would have done it himself but he’s been in his room not feeling good, but here’s my dinner..
