I won a giftcard for 5th safest driver in the company. Used it on this beauty right here. Ruger Mark IV Target .  22LR caliber

I've had Mark 2 and 3s and they were a pain to disassemble to clean as rim fire are pretty nasty rounds. Ruger listened to their consumers (finally ) and made the Mark IV models with one button easy take downs.

I've got a Glock 19 Gen 4 i carry when I'm in scary locations in Texas. My dad said he had a IWB  holster that was made for that model he picked up at a gun show on the cheap. Savoy Leather makes some top quality holsters.

When he gave it to me he said there was some image he didn't understand on it. This was pre Mandalorian BTW.    ::) ::) :D :D

Nice Ruger. When I was looking for a .22 handgun, I ended up going with a nice Buckmark Hunter.

Took my Scorpion out for the first time a couple of weeks ago.

Very happy with it. Crazy reliable and easy to shoot.

Nice little .22 pistol! I've been looking at a .22 target gun (replacing .177 air rifles), and mostly what I've been looking at is vintage (1950s) model single-shot High Standard and Savage made for places like Sears and Roebuck (JC Higgins) and Western Auto (Revelation). At $100 or so, they seem like reliable shooters. The Revelation one, I learned, was based off a training gun Savage sold to the Army.

We have strict limitations, like only one handgun which I found out about too late.  At least not sorry about my Blackhawk .357
Over hear the fight is on as well, but unlike there, its an african banana republic so there is no real fight, just comes down to what a stupid corrupt bunch of politicians suck out of their fat gravy-dripping thumbs

Add to that, I saw some AR15 for sale locally and it was about 25% of the price of my car......which I had to finance over 4 years

Miltary-style semi-automatic firearms (assault rifles) have been banned here in NZ following the massacre at the mosques. Many were shocked to learn that basic firearms license holders were allowed them in the first place.
I am interested in firearms and I am completely happy with that decision.  :tu:

I dont want to be "that guy" but they are not "assault rifles". Thats a term to make em sound bad. AR stands for Armalite Rifle, for those who do not know.

Yeah I know that. I haven't heard that assumption before but I can see how it could be made.

I dont want to be "that guy" but they are not "assault rifles".
Because they don't have select fire? OK.

2019 . I assembled not one, but 2 ARs.

Aero Lowers , CMC trigger single stage, Toolcraft bolt carrier groups, and Geissele springs. Magpul furniture.  Once you buy the tools, vice and armory wrench it's simple to assemble them. I could build a couple more , just gotta hit those deals around 4th of July, Memorial Day and such.

I went Palmetto State on the stainless barrel upper on one for accuracy, the other I used a Smith and Wesson upper and a FN cold hammer forged barrel (FN16A-A48)  with BCM handguard.

I have been looking at the kits offered by Palmetto State. I really like the floating barrel M-Lok varieties they offer. A buddy and I are going to order a pack of 5 80% lowers. I also want to build a match rifle at some point. The only reason I have not so far, is I have my M14 Match that I love for long range shooting.

How are the triggers on the PSA kits? I will probably buy a higher grade drop in unit for mine.

Standard CMMG trigger has longish pull , climbs a wall and breaks clean at about 6lbs , no gritty feel. Just feels like a standard rifle trigger. Nothing real special but nothing wrong. Feels real solid at 29.99 on sale for the lower parts kit including trigger .

Now the drop in CMC trigger at 99.99 is crisp and light. Bout half the pull of the other at 3.75 pounds. Smooth take up , small wall and a clean break. Feels faster on the next set of rounds.

Only problem with drop in is if it craps out you have to replace the whole unit. The CMMG i can service with my OOPS LPK in my range bag.  Haven't really heard of a drop in trigger doing bad though.  :gimme:

Is the drop in adjustable?

My CMC isn't but you can pick your trigger pull weight or get a two stage for more accuracy. I think other brands might be adjustable. Maybe Geissele but they are high dollar

Palmetto State Armory is really carving themselves out a huge chunk of the AR market. They have awesome deals to where anyone starting out building can assemble a pretty good rifle depending on your budget.  They also have their own drop in triggers, hear they are pretty good too.

They also handle higher end cold hammer forged, magnetic particle inspected , pressure tested barrels if you want it. Sometimes you can catch them at 349 for the complete upper before they sell out.
