Great keepsake E. Congrats.

This Buck is something different.

This was commissioned by Willey's Knives and there were only 100 made.

Thank you gentlemen.

I'm trying to find something different in the lineup of Buck knives.

This is  a Buck celebrating America's Bicentennial.

Thanks again guys.

I've never seen that definition of "Wowser" McStitchy.LOL

Here are two more that are very different knives, especially when a knife guy thinks of Buck.

These were made to celebrate the Boone and Crockett Club.

The top model is a boning knife and the bottom is called a Waterfowler.

While on vacation in July, in Daytona Beach area, son dragged me to a small flea market.
I found these two gems, I had never seen Yellow scales in person, or bird knife either.

This is a 110 created for Matco Tools and commemorating the drag car they sponsored and driven by Dean Scuza.

Thank you gentlemen.

Here are two that don't look any different than a standard 110 hunter.

They are very different because the frames are constructed from aluminum.

A standard 110 made with N/S weighs 7.6 ounces. The aluminum weighs in at 4.1 ounces.

That's interesting  :tu:
Do you feel it's a rather soft aluminum or more like an aircraft grade alloy 6061 ?

That's a good question.

I don't have the answer but I'll send an email to the dealer and hope for an answer.

Meanwhile, I'll also do a little research and get back to you.

That is a very interesting  fact I would also be curious to learn.

I have an Aluminum with Micarta scales 110.

It is light yet feels as sturdy as any of my other brass 110s but as light as my 110 LT.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I received an email from Copper & Clad.Unfortunately he doesn't know the type of aluminum.

I'll send an email to Buck, they should be able to answer my question.
