Day 02:

This morning I was out working in the garden, digging and transplanting, etc.... I just wasn't prepared to use the Cami 66 in the mud, so a rugged fixie was substituted. However, now [mostly] clean and no longer dressed in muddy clothes, I've got the Stockman is back in my pocket and life is good.  :D

Day 2

You're not going to loose that in the woods, are you?  :like:

I dropped it in the woods this afternoon, looked everywhere and no luck, seems it's gone, can't find it anywhere  :(

Some really nice knives so far.

Day 1
Today I thought I’d start with my Case Battleship Canoe.  It helped me open a few boxes today, as well as, open a package of coffee.
(Image removed from quote.)

That is a beauty  :like:

Day 2 of 30

I have a stag handled, carbon blade, Hen and Rooster Congress with oversized bolsters today  I carried this knife quite a bit over the last decade :tu:

(Image removed from quote.)

And another beauty, really like those bolsters
Day 2 addendum.

Trapper got a bit of use clearing some small branches from a lesser used path on my morning dog walk.  Ranger is still furloughed so the path maintenance has understandably been lacking.

I need to get myself an RR sometime, they look like a good deal  :tu:

Day 2 - The Camillus model 66 was with me today but saw little action.  Here it is stuck in a tree ready for action to open package, yet another zip lock style.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 2
Sodbuster Jr helped with some yard work then (after a good cleaning) helped cut up some fruit.  It is really too small for cutting the whole cantaloupe, but works pretty good once cut in half.

I've lost count at how many I have. They are cheap, and tough knives that get it done.  Except for certain special ones (wood handles, any TL-29, the steel-handled Journeyman), you won't be paying over $10 for a used one, and I have, quite regularly, seen new-old-stock ones for $25-30.

Day 2. 2015 Moore Maker 5201LL 3 7/8" Trapper. 1095 steel, locking clip blade, yellow bone handles.  Admittedly, there are two reasons why I bought this knife. A member on another forum was showing off a one-bladed example he'd modified to a Wharncliffe, and I noticed the locking main blade; and then having purchased it in late May, I knew this challenge was coming up.  I paid a little over $40 as a complete, but not fully finished knife. It is, in fact, an end-of-days knife, which came from the recent auction of the plant and its contents.  Blades were ground, not sharpened (and sharpening it was tough--this is the hardest 1095 I've ever sharpened!), the bone was unfinished (had to wipe them down with mineral oil), and the bolsters still have a satin finish.

And backing it up, as usual, is the Rebar I was generously gifted by Barry close to a year ago. It has replaced my ST300 and Wave for most tasks, and is lightweight and compact enough for pocket carry (but I use the sheath most of the time, easier to access when under equipment), while offering more tools than my PST (especially saw and serrated blade!) and all the implements are locking. Pliers handles, unlike the old PST, are designed to not dig in when putting force on the pliers. I do not like Leathermans with outside tools, as they seem to dig into my hands when doing heavy cutting with the blades.
