How did you manage to separate those four yolks so perfectly in four corners?

It's a small frying pan, so four eggs sit perfectly in it. I am careful to drop a yolk in each quarter, and the pan does the rest. :like:

Day 20

(Image removed from quote.)
Kabar FH attended lunch duty.  I was thinking whether I would use it to cut the burger to half, but still can't get over using coated knife on food...
Dude, do you have any idea how they prepare those burgers?! Believe you me, your knife coating is the least of your problems...

The Becker BK40 looks like it fits the parameters of this challenge if you want to switch things up a little bit. :pok: :pok:

Day 20
I used the Schrade 60T to cut some paracord to make a lanyard for my Brisa EnZo necker 70.  The bead is an octopus if anyone's interested, but I'll probably remove it.  I'll have to carry it awhile to make up my mind.

Keep it. Hail Hydra!

 :D :D :D :D

DAY 20

Opened up my new Beck BK40
Which are you referring to, you using the BK40 or me removing the bead from my lanyard?  There was no requirement to use the same knife through the whole challenge, and to be honest, I want to see the BK40. :D
Oh, this gonna be fun!  Love to see that thing in action, and if possible, please take a few photos next to well known knives.

That's both patience and skill that I probably don't have. :hatsoff:

Thanks for the headsup Bro!   In all honesty, I don't eat these calories bombers all that often, maybe once in a week or two.  But I do try to keep tab here and there, and would often go on mini fasting(12 hours minimal-no food) to regulate/correct myself.

Day 21
I'm trying to eat less carbs per doctor's orders, so lunch today was salami and cheese rolled into cabbage leaves instead of on bread.  The Schrade 60T cut the stem out of the leaves so they could be rolled.

Day 21: repaired an old quilt bag I noticed had gotten torn between the time I put my shorts in it and got my sweatpants out, until now when I'm going with the opposite. I cut some Gorilla Clear Repair tape to patch the tear.

About 2 years ago, I bought a small folder that had a Teflon-coated blade; as it was among a large group of really cheap Italian-made knives I'd picked up as the distributor at the time was retiring. Cut up an apple and noticed black flakes everywhere. While DLC (diamond-like coating), Cerakote, and Black Oxide are applied much better, I still don't trust them. What surprises me is how prevalent coated blades are on cheap kitchen knives.

Thanks to that!  What do you think of the balance of the knife?  Buck 110 has a pretty rearward balancing point(well into the handle), though the handle is larger on BK40, I am guessing it has a more forward balancing point, since the material is lighter?

I think that's a great test for coated blade.  Imagine if we start using it on red meat, it's probably harder to detect the flicking off.

Day 22: Spent the whole day fiixing fences and decided that since I was wearing lightweight shorts due to the 80 degree temps, I only needed one thing; and I selected my Leatherman Bond. Bad idea. The extra weight was clunky, and I needed nothing on it other than the blade.  I was working with a family friend, and he had to bring his compact excavator because several heavy trees needed to be removed, both near and off the fence. A track came off, and we decided to load the tools needed to fix it up in the UTV and bring it to the site. Since we were just removing trees today, I really didn't need to carry my fencing toolbag, but it was in the UTV. Aside from screwdrivers, everything the Leatherman offers is in there. So, I really should've just brought the Mercator or my Utica/Caterpillar Buck 111 clone; which is serrated and really slim due to the steel handles.
