Nice work, y’awl! In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s Happy Spring Equinox! Echotech, hope the rain isn’t as bad as forecast - 8” sounds like a real deluge....Day 20Postie came early this morning used the scissors on the FX to open a package containing a Wenger Soldier ‘72 (blade has seen plenty of work and someone had polished the heck out of it - thankfully it’s the scales I’m mainly interested in with this one) with counter clockwise Waffen Kontrole stamp, the last model I’m missing for the 9 Soldier line up
DAY 20:FX with a French Laguiole.
Thanks Rizio, it’s actually been worse! However it has given me the opportunity to binge watch some Forged in the Fire Congrats on the 72 and finishing the variants
Interesting. All UK Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) is done online so no "disc" is displayed. However, it doesn't cover insurance or any other legal requirements
Very nice, guibur!
Did you modify that pen? It looks identical to mine, and I had to assemble it from two Zebra pens.
Hey guys. I have to forfeit this challenge, family matters. I'm sorry. Life has gotten hectic and I don't have the time to take photos, post and keep up. It was a fun 18 days though! Good luck to all.
Trial run. I had to buy proper India ink. All I had was cartridge pen inks!...I haven't drawn anything with a Swiss Army Knife dipped in India ink in years, and back then it was with the small blade on a Huntsman or Climber or something. The large blade takes some getting used to. Next time I'll do pencils first so I can get something less janky out of it.
Day 20FX with my trusty ole Surefire L2 Lumamax.i've been EDC'ing this light since i got it,maybe 13 or 14 years ago.fxd20 by Humayd a r Mahomedy, on Flickr
You know me... awlways trying to crunch numbers. I looked through all the posts from Day 1 to date, and counted the number of times you awl reported a particular tool as used. - In some cases, you didn't explicitly say which tool you used, so I took my best guess on what you used (or could have used) Eg. the spine of the saw as a Ferro rod striker. - If you mentioned simple food prep, as many of you did, I counted that as the blade. - Some of you mentioned opening packages, and if you didn't say which tool you use, I gave to the one that you used for the same before; or if you showed the packages I chose based on which tool made sense to use (envelope vs box)- some of you showed pictures of projects that you were working on, so I counted similar tasks as 1 use, but distinct tasks as separate uses.- notably, explicit or implicit use of tweezers was mentioned twice. - the saw was mentioned a a few times as "just for fun". I counted each of those "scenarios" as one use. - I only went through the thread once so there are probably a few errors- halfway through I had to stop and open a packet of Gummy Bears (I wonder why ). I used the Champion scissors, because they are on my computer desk. So here it is:Blade - 74Scissors - 60Awl - 35Bottle opener/Large SD - 32Can opener/Small SD - 19Saw - 10
Hey, that looks pretty darned good for a knife sketch! You've got some talent.Might the awl work?
I will
Amazing tenacity and determination by the French side!
