Day-20

Was over our older sons house and he had a few carpet pulls from his cat that I cut off and made it look even,,

:lam:

You know me... awlways trying to crunch numbers.  I looked through all the posts from Day 1 to date, and counted the number of times you awl reported a particular tool as used.
- In some cases, you didn't explicitly say which tool you used, so I took my best guess on what you used (or could have used) Eg. the spine of the saw as a Ferro rod striker.
- If you mentioned simple food prep, as many of you did, I counted that as the blade.
- Some of you mentioned opening packages, and if you didn't say which tool you use, I gave to the one that you used for the same before; or if you showed the packages I chose based on which tool made sense to use (envelope vs box)
- some of you showed pictures of projects that you were working on, so I counted similar tasks as 1 use, but distinct tasks as separate uses.
- notably, explicit or implicit use of tweezers was mentioned twice.
- the saw was mentioned a a few times as "just for fun".  I counted each of those "scenarios" as one use.
- I only went through the thread once so there are probably a few errors
- halfway through I had to stop and open a packet of Gummy Bears (I wonder why ).  I used the Champion scissors, because they are on my computer desk.

So here it is:

Blade - 74
Scissors - 60
Awl - 35
Bottle opener/Large SD - 32
Can opener/Small SD - 19
Saw - 10

Thanks for crunching the numbers  :tu: The ratio seems pretty close to my use ratio per tool.

Hey guys. I have to forfeit this challenge, family matters. I'm sorry. Life has gotten hectic and I don't have the time to take photos, post and keep up. It was a fun 18 days though! Good luck to all.
All the best Suzuki hope everything ok

I went in knowing I would use the saw the least. Back when I worked commercial construction, I used it all the time. Now that I'm...well...not, I mostly just like having the saw around for fun.

Day 20
The Farmer X open a special package today

The packaged contained a naked SAK Mod, so the Fx assisted in scale removal from a Tinker.  The end result, with the two MTO chips that were also in the package

I just got thinking, I believe we have enough participants for a badge, but would need to design one.  Anyone up for the task?

Day  20

Scissors opened a package of sausages for the soup i was cooking

Needed tweezers to help peel of the backing of some felt pads. Since the FX does not supply tweezers, the Hiker helped out.

It would be nice Sos so here’s a first attempt. I’m definitely no graphic designer or artist (as you’ll see!)

Tweezers can come in handy.

I carry a pair of Tweezerman tweezers in my pocket organizer so I always have a pair.

Day  20

I should have taken pictures of the Fx scissors trimming the new bar tape for the road bike.

Obviously, the Farmer X didn't do any of the drawing or computer manipulation for these, but it was around:

The hard part is making something that will scale down without turning into too much of a pixelated mess. It's easier to just have a simplified version for shrinking instead.

End: Day 20

Wow - they’re nice too! Just finished my early morning ride, almost no wind for a change yay! Spring is in the air. Time for a cappuccino and a full breakfast, well it is Sunday and 50km says I earned it! First though,

Day 20

Time to open another sack of peanuts for our furry and feathered friends, main blade to the fore - these were vacuum packed, so it was interesting to watch them go from a rigid brick to a saggy sack, bit like me too, though I think the saggy sack is the current normal state of affairs!
