23A is kinda common for wireless door chime, but I agree, it was an oddity when I first saw it.  I haven't used my Swiza for the longest time, but did vaguely remember the tolerance of the tools kind resembled Wenger/Delemont.  How was your copy?

 :iagree:

As you say, about on par with a Wenger.

  What strike me interesting is both brands have lock on the blade, and both exhibit slight up and down play for the blade after locking.  I do sometimes wonder whether they do that on purpose, so it could prevent lock stick or lock creep.

Day 4

If I'm gonna be stuck with the Flik for a month, I might as well try and improve it.
The Flik's bottle opener has a little bit of a belly. I decided to grind it straight with a Dremel. Maybe a minute's work.
Now, with both flatheads opened, they can accommodate the square hole bit adapter. It fits very well on there. No complaints. Now I can extend the reach, use standard bits, and it is much stronger than the dedicated Phillips the Flik has. Quite pleased with this. Now the Flik will have to commandeer the Rebar's sheath and bit set.

It is a rather "unique" tool but, that said, different is good  :tu:

It was given to me by a mate knowing I like MT's Surge, very kind but  so had just got chucked in a box.
This challenge seemed like the perfect time to give it a go. I really like the hammer as it goes, yes exactly, something a bit different....but as comis said in an earlier post, also a bit of a heavy tool to base an MT around and still make carryable

I would have been really impressed if you'd used the hammer claw to open the package.
 :pok:

It's Hammer Time!

watch this space...maybe  :dunno:

You will deserve whatever badges you receive after using that thing for 30 days Echo

Thanks Adam  :hatsoff: ...to think what lovely tools i could be using   :ahhh ah well that's what challenges are for

Vic scissors is the best, especially for precision cut.  I think Wenger's 'shear' is meant for more robust stuff, but it's not too shabby if the medium is just paper.  One way I used to test a scissors is to have it cut cling wrap, if it could cut it with ease, it's a good one.
I just did the Official Comis Cling Wrap Test and here are the results:
- Vic scissors: No problem cutting or slicing through the cling wrap.
- Serrated Wenger-design scissors: Could cut the wrap only if using the ends of the scissor blades. Slicing motion failed.

So that makes 5 scissor fails in one day.

That looks like the exact same bit set and hex bit coupler I got with a Winchester multi tool and that fits very nicely on the inline Phillips of SAKs.

If anyone wants one, I found the bit sets with coupler for less than $3 on AliExpress.com.

Day 3
The Minimaster helped liberate a treat and toy for Fisher.  I should have known better than to walk from the mailbox to grocery store, it takes me past the pet store.

It also helped cut out some cooking directions on frozen food boxes, so I could throw out the boxes and create more room in freezer.

Daredevil Day 4:  A post of SurgeUk's made me think about trying tea again, so today's first task is slicing through the wrapper.

I tried taking the Swiss+Tech apart to smooth it up but I need another bit to get it completely apart.  I went as far as I could with the bits I have, and it turns out that's a really bad idea.     Got it back together and working like it was.  I might leave it as is and work on it after the challenge.

But to be fair, IIRC, not every MT/SAK-alike we ever come across could pass that test easily.

Wait..so Fisher know he would pass by the store and demand something?  He is probably the only dog I know to use the pliers for his food, and now this, I probably should starting expecting him to join MTO pretty soon!  :D

Good use!
The picture got me curious, and have to look it up.  I am not into Tea as much as coffee, but I probably should give that a try too in the future.

Day 4

Wetols attended coffee duty this morning, the drip coffee bag is made of soft fabric and slicing the top clean off is no easy task.

The tool was banging on my knee and car door yesterday, so I start carrying it in a nurse organizer within the cargo pants pocket.  Wedged in a pocket behind a Field Notes, so far so good. :tu:
