DAY 9

Today was a non work day for me as I'm packing for a family bereavemant and won't be back until Tues' afternoon.

I will be taking this set up with me which includes my RescueTool, as it's snowy in Wales and my CS4, to open take away wine bottles at the B&B (no bar service or pubs open in the "land of my fathers" isn't it*)

I will take pic's where it is decent to do so (not on the day, Monday) and post when I get back  :tu: (or run the extra days  ;)

Have a good weekend all and stay safe  :salute:

* Essentially a positive/rhetorical question with an upper inflection (i.e. "That's a nice SAK, isn't it?")  :dunno:
They don't like it up 'em!

I haven't got a dog but my Outrider is more than adequately defended by Elsa, my watchcat.  She even took a swipe at me when I tried to take it back!

Day 9

Removed some limescale deposits using the Hercules' awl. Worked very well.

I really like the Hercules a lot, could even imagine EDC'ing it instead of the CT 34. It's easier to get out of a jeans pocket, feels more substantial in hand than a 91 mm SAK and I like the lockable main blade. On the other hand, it is more conspicuous and I imagine it could make people uneasy; alas, I guess the 111 mm format will continue to be reserved for special occasions.

The picture is nice, but I doubt it qualifies for this (or really any) challenge - I count two SAKs and a Swisstool in addition to all the other gear.  :dunno:

That’s a Leatherman. It has a corkscrew. His 111mm tool of choice doesn’t.

You’re allowed to use another tool to get the job done if your challenge tool is incapable.

Plus, he is taking a bereavement trip and must pack for any problems encountered.

I think in this case, he’s just fine. My opinion, of course.

Day  Outrider had several normal little tasks from opening a coffee brick to cutting a chip bag to trimming a dog chew.  It also helped with refilling and adjusting a Zippo insert
