Day 9: The best cigar cutter I've ever seen!

I'd be surprised if the RAF emergency kit doesn't include a good cigar so that your downed pilot can enjoy a moment to take stock of his environment whilst awaiting rescue

Day 10.

More Cheese action. The main blade isn't a great butter knife but if does do cheese slice control very well.

Day 10
Going to carry the Outrider again.  Thought I'd pose the knife with a print I have by wildlife photographer Sabry Mason because it makes me smile.
More of his work can be seen here:

Almost perfect. You need a Hercules. The number of its layers matches the number of the birds.  :D

I’m thinking  my Locksmith, with the scissors in place of the wood saw, would be about perfect for me!

Only problem is I’d have to sacrifice an Outrider or Hercules, in order to get those scissors. Liner lock version, of course.

Maybe the answer, once the challenge is over, is to carry my Ambassador or Executive with me when I don’t have a tool with scissors.

My normal work carry is one of my knives ( Spyderco Autonomy 2, Benchmade AFO II or Sandrin Torino) along with my modded Pioneer X ( scissors and opener layers only).

I am with you there. And a one handed blade.

Ps does the one handed blade also have a half stop?

Just asking as my only reference is my outrider.

Thanks, bud (Image removed from quote.) I usually hold the scissors pretty close to what you see in this picture (Image removed from quote.) Which way do you prefer?
Top, as I am operating it with the thumb. Bottom would mean operating it with the index finger. I reckon that would feel awkward
Like Simon, I too prefer having the moving arm on top, I found the non-moving arm at the bottom usually could support the weight of the material/paper, while my other hand is holding the material steady. :D

A while ago I visited Iceland and has always wanted to go back to capture pictures of Puffins, they are the cutest things!

Iceland really is a Disneyland for any photography lover, highly recommend anyone interested to give it a go.

No, the one handed blades don’t have half stops. Also, the Locksmith has a one handed blade.

  It is one of the most fascinating, yet frustrating(staying in 13m/sec wind, -10C for hours, many nights fruitless), travel I have ever taken.  Very memorable, but to be honest, I will love to do it all over again. :D

I've always been a fan of the Swisschamp, and the 111's have really grown on me so I thought I'd give it a go.
Nice, Barry :tu: I am sure you will like it, it's the 111 mm Swisschamp
