Day 11
I needed to trim a tree today, but I made sure this was empty first. I can't have abandoned homes becoming a blight on the neighborhood.  It's a shame too because it would have been a good starter home for a young family or the perfect size for empty nesters looking to downsize.

Nice pic Alan! :like: :tu: :tu:

More lovely pics and uses!

Day 12

Used the main blade of my rescue tool to free some more peanuts for the wildlife in my garden! Scissors would have been my tool of choice for this job, but the blade worked well enough - but the scales positively shone in the gloomy light this morning!

Good use Rizio! :like: :tu: :tu:

Looks like a good traditional mix.

Hope it works.  Bore snakes clean so nicely.

That looks good.  I haven’t had and english muffin in a while but use to love them with peanut butter
I love those scales
Nice looking snack and Trekker.

Nice pictures and really nice knives I like those black rubberized scales

Try the can opener!  When you split these open with a fork you end up with more nooks and crannies for the butter,  which is the main event, to be honest.

 :hatsoff:

DAY 12

I decided to use my Bosch Outrider today.

I like the Zermatt leather sheaths Victorinox makes but the
belt loop makes them ride too high on my belt, so I took the
belt loop off of the black sheath and drilled 4 small holes
and then slit the leather between 2 on each side for my belt
to go through. Now it rides a lot lower on my belt

Hi people  :waving:

I arrived back from sunny  :dunno:  Wales today. I have been absent for a few days whilst I dealt with a family bereavement.

It wasn't unexpected but still not good news losing a parent just before Christmas, and the COVID stuff doesn't help with arrangements.

Thank you "awl" for your messages of support and condolences (too many to mention) This is the reason why this site is better than all the others (it's the generosity of "spirit" of "awl" of you)  :tu:

It didn't feel right to take shots in the circumstances so I will continue to post pics of an appropriate SAK (only got two 111's  ::) ) starting again tomorrow (13th) and then run over for the days I've missed, if that's okay with you  :dunno:

Once again; thank you "awl"  :salute:

I'm saddened to read this as I know the feeling.  As I was grieving my father, a dear friend told me, "You haven't lost him, he's only gone before."  That comforted me.
May your memories of your parent be a blessing.

Gonna have to try that lanyard tip myself. Looks to be a whistle. I've been attaching Acme 636 to the lanyard ring, but that's horribly bulky.
