A pair of Farmer X.

Sweet!  I think scissors in 93mm has been one of the most anticipated incorporation for years, and next maybe a 84mm.  :pok: :dd:

Day 2
Busy couple of days around here! My mother had a sleepover with my girls New Year’s Eve, she had a little fall yesterday playing. So here’s an action photo  and an “un-glamour” shot of me putting together and putting on the new higher toilet seat for her.
Using my youngest daughters BYSAK.
Very nice of you to help her out, hopefully it is nothing serious and she will recover soon!  :hatsoff:

Day 3

Had an excellent day out driving some back roads in the Hawkesbury with a mate, the outrider came for the ride.

This was the area that bore the full brunt of last year’s fires.
As you can see it’s starting to get back to normal but the “fuzzy“ growth in the last photo (sprouting up the trunk) is something I’ve not seen after fires before and shows just how intense it was.

Amazing how most trees are still able to regenerate even though they looked like burnt matchsticks not long ago

Looks like fun time!  Some wood is definitely more resilient than others, I once heard about a red wood being burnt for 10+ years in ember, and still live after that.  And probably that's one of the reason why some forest have trees that could grow up to few hundred years too, since they are difficult to catch on fire.

Day 3

I remembered seeing a mod done by our fellow members sometime ago, and thought that was a pretty cool idea since my hands are dry in the winter and it's harder to use the OHO.  Just a mild 1200 grit sandpaper and a min or two did wonder.

Then Trekker proceed to open supposedly low sugar snack to munch on... :D

That's the problem EB. The Rescue Tool was primarily bought, not issued, for my SAR stuff (voluntary role, not work) This means that outside my house/garden I would need to rely upon the UK "reasonable excuse" defence (i.e. SAR stuff on a live call out or organised exercise etc)

I can carry other stuff whilst on duty (i.e. my Surge, lock knife, baton etc) because I have "lawful authority" as they are issued by the UK Government. I have ministerial exemptions in place for these (and other things such as firearms etc) as I am a "Crown Servant"

Essentially, in the UK, you can carry a non-locking blade under 3 inches (7.62cm) without needing a reason, notwithstanding criminal intent etc. However, ANY locking blade (regardless of length) requires either "Lawful Authority" OR "Reasonable Excuse" and, the onus is upon me to provide proof of either.

However, unlike most of europe, OHO is not an issue (unless it's a locking blade OR over 3 inches) Both my knives fall foul on each account, unless either statutory defences apply.

Clear  :dunno:

(Sorry if that was an egg sucking exercise, but I don't know, what you know, about our messed up system  :D )

At least you can take comfort from the fact that thanks to the UK's strict knife laws, knife crime rates in the UK are among the lowest in Europe. Oh wait, I got that wrong, didn't I?

DAY 3

I used everything but the awl on my Dual Pro X between EDC and fitting a new lockset (replacing one I really messed up after an incident with a soft brass key, a heavy box, and me forgetting to take it out of the inside-opening door) on the outbuilding.  I cut open some medicine and a package containing new razor blades with the PE blade. The belt cutter got used to cut the plastic ring to get a root beer removed from a six-pack and Mr. Clean Magic Eraser in half (which was used to remove slight tape residue on the belt cutter, and heavy residue on the GAK). Then, when I installed the new door lockset, I used the backside Phillips, and then the can opener when I misplaced my screwdriver (still can't find it!), as well as the cap lifter to pry an adapter piece out of the inside knob that I didn't need for the door I was working on.  I would have used the awl, but I instead chose to use the original plate that goes on the door frame.

Misplaced the Dual Pro, so let's go onto the Outrider's use. Some slight cutting, and the lanyard ring to hold the keys to this new lockset until I could stash the spare and put the regular key on my regular keys replacing the busted off one to the old lockset.

Wow, Cody, you really got busy there.  :tu: Now all that's missing are some more action pics

Day 3

You Outrider guys may be wondering how I´m going to cope without scissors for 30 days. The answer is, I can´t. So I´m carrying my Ambassador along. I wouldn´t want to trim my nails with that big blade!

Today I´ll be visiting my parents and I don´t expect to use the Hunter XT.

 :pok: I would think that this runs afoul of the rules of the challenge.  I think your options are: get an Outrider so you have what you need in the qualifying tool for the challenge... Or carry scissors as a uni-tool instead of a second multitool  :dunno:

Comté is very nice too - this Gruyère is a special one, cave aged longer than normal, a Christmas treat as it was very expensive!

I've been munching through varieties of cheddar... Sounds a bit less exotic, but I quite like it. Some have those crystals... Some are crumbly... It's been interesting.

Hard to beat a good mature cheddar, crunchy crystals and a pickled onion....! :tu:

Day 3:

Today’s “around the house” carry will be my Locksmith. To be honest, I don’t anticipate much (if any) use today. If I find some use,  I’ll add it as bonus pictures.

Oh yeah, I swapped out the stock scales for titanium scales from Meton Boss.

Setting here handling the Locksmith, it occurs to me that Victorinox kinda dropped the ball on these 111mm OH knives. I’d like to see some jimping on the backside of the thumb hole.
