It seems like the only other difference I can tell is my blast has some plastic on it where I think the wave is all metal.

This shouldn't be any problem for me.

I carried a Blast for 3 years. I used it often and it never let me down. You chose wisely

What did you switch to, if you don't mind me asking?
I Upgraded to a Core. Also a great MT but it is a bit heavy. I work as a handy man and wanted something that can really take a beating. I gave my Blast to a co worker and it is still going strong.

Unless you carry a Micra or Squirt S4 I am willing to say you miss the scissors every now and again ::) :D
I have an S4 on my keychain. It does come in handy.

Yep that's what I carry for work as well that and a SuperTool :tu:

I just never got the hang of the sak opener. You only get a 1/4 inch cut. where as the hook ones get through a can quick.

If your planning to use it on a bike I'd go for either the Crunch, or the Core, but then if your a survivalist then you'll be needing a saw, so I guess it'll have to be a Core :)

The LM bit drivers will be hopeless for fixing anything on a motorcycle in my opinion (I've ridden bikes for yonks) as they lack the reach to get at all the awkwardly placed screws (in other words all the screws :D) and even if they can reach, you won't be able to turn them as there stupidly fat ::)

Welcome to the forum BTW :)
He can get the bit driver extension  that's featured in my SURGE review, that'll solve the problem.
